NUC SIWES Assessment Team Commends Venite University’s Growth and Institutional Development.

The National Universities Commission (NUC) SIWES Assessment Team has commended the rapid growth, institutional development and administrative structures of Venite University, Iloro-Ekiti, following its assessment of the Directorate of Students’ Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) on Thursday, 13 August 2026.

The Team praised the visionary leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Charity O. Aremu, as well as the commitment, teamwork and cooperation of staff in supporting the effective administration of the SIWES programme. It also commended the University for its dedicated and well-equipped SIWES office, qualified personnel, proper documentation systems, orientation facilities, security architecture, dedicated utility vehicle, reliable power supply and regular monitoring of students on industrial attachment.

The Assessment Team further acknowledged the University’s growing industrial partnerships, particularly its collaboration with notable organizations such as New Horizons and others for development and students training. It encouraged the University to continue expanding its network of industry partnerships and strengthening opportunities for students to gain practical and industry-relevant experience.

Responding, the Vice-Chancellor expressed appreciation to the NUC SIWES Assessment Team for its professional engagement, constructive observations and recommendations. She reaffirmed Management’s commitment to continuous improvement, regulatory compliance and the further strengthening of the Directorate of SIWES.

Professor Charity Aremu also highlighted the University’s ongoing partnerships with hospitals and other organisations, particularly in support of its medical and health sciences programmes, and assured the Team of Management’s continued commitment to providing students with quality practical training and meaningful industrial exposure.
