Arch. Tope Ogunleye Commends Gov Oyebanji for Honouring Fayose, Describes Gesture as a Symbol of Statesmanship.
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Arch. Tope Ogunleye (RST), has lauded Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for honouring former Governor Ayodele Peter Fayose with a magnificent edifice, describing the gesture as a demonstration of true leadership, maturity, and statesmanship.
In a statement made available to journalists on Monday, Ogunleye said Governor Oyebanji's decision to immortalise Fayose's contributions to the development of Ekiti State underscores his commitment to unity, continuity in governance, and the preservation of the state's political history.
According to him, "A leader's legacy is not measured by promises but by the enduring impact of visionary leadership. Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has once again demonstrated that true leadership is about preserving history while building a greater future."
He added that the Governor's decision to honour a former political leader, irrespective of party differences, reflects humility, gratitude, and an uncommon spirit of inclusiveness.
"This remarkable gesture is a shining example of leadership that values continuity over division and service above self. It is a worthy step that will strengthen unity among leaders and inspire future generations to place the interest of Ekiti State above political considerations," Ogunleye stated.
