SUPREME COURT JUDGMENT AFFIRMS THE WILL OF EKITI PEOPLE — Ojuawo Congratulates Governor Oyebanji.
The Member representing Ekiti South Federal Constituency I in the House of Representatives, Hon. (AVM Rtd.) Rufus Adeniyi Ojuawo, has congratulated the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, following the Supreme Court judgment affirming his election as the duly elected Governor of the state.
In a statement issued after the verdict, Hon. Ojuawo described the judgment as a fitting affirmation of the overwhelming mandate freely given to Governor Oyebanji by the people of Ekiti State, noting that the ruling represents the final validation of the electorate's democratic choice. According to the lawmaker, the Supreme Court's decision brings the electoral process to a definitive and successful conclusion, while further strengthening public confidence in Nigeria's democratic institutions and the rule of law.
Hon. Ojuawo commended Governor Oyebanji for his inclusive style of governance, people-centred policies, and remarkable developmental achievements across the state, stressing that these have continued to earn him the trust, goodwill, and overwhelming support of Ekiti people. He called on all political leaders, stakeholders, and citizens, irrespective of political affiliation, to accept the judgment with maturity and good faith, put aside partisan interests, and join hands with the Governor in the shared task of building a more prosperous, peaceful, and progressive Ekiti State.
Hon. Ojuawo also prayed for God's continued wisdom, strength, good health, and divine guidance for Governor Oyebanji as he continues to provide purposeful leadership and deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Ekiti.
