The Senator representing Ekiti South Senatorial District, Senator Yemi Adaramodu, on Saturday joined sons, daughters, and well-wishers of Emure-Ekiti to celebrate the first coronation anniversary of His Royal Majesty, Oba James Babatunde Ajiboye, Otutubiosun I, the Elemure of Emure-Ekiti.
The colourful ceremony brought together eminent traditional rulers, political leaders, government officials, community stakeholders, and residents to commemorate one year of purposeful, peaceful, and progressive reign.
In his address, Senator Adaramodu congratulated the revered monarch on the successful completion of his first year on the throne. He described the milestone as a celebration of visionary leadership, rich cultural heritage, and grassroots development.
The lawmaker praised His Royal Majesty, Oba James Babatunde Ajiboye, Otutubiosun I, for his fatherly role in fostering unity, peace, and development within the kingdom since ascending the throne. He noted that Kabiyesi's wisdom and commitment to traditions continue to strengthen the love bond among the people of Emure-Ekiti and enhance the town's prestigious stand among others in Ekiti State.
Senator Adaramodu reaffirmed his commitment to continued collaboration with the traditional institution to uphold initiatives that promote peace, unity, education, infrastructures, and sustainable development across Ekiti South Senatorial District and Ekiti State at large.
He also commended the people of Emure-Ekiti for their unwavering support for the traditional institution. He urged them to continue to foster the values of love, togetherness, and hard work for the continued progress of the kingdom.
In his prayers, the Senator asked for God's continued guidance, good health, wisdom, and long life for the royal father as he leads Emure-Ekiti to greater heights.
The event featured cultural displays, traditional music, prayers, and goodwill messages from dignitaries who extolled the monarch's achievements during his first year on the throne.
