The Executive Chairman of Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government (the Watershed LG), Honourable Gbenga Oluwatuyi, has expressed profound appreciation and excitement over the growing wave of endorsements being received by the humility-personified and altruistic Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency Abiodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO).

Describing the endorsements as unprecedented in the history of governance in Ekiti State and even in the South-West region, Hon. Oluwatuyi particularly highlighted the recent collective endorsement by civil servants across the state. He noted that such united support from the workforce is a remarkable milestone and a strong testament to the governor's impactful leadership.

According to Hon. Oluwatuyi, these widespread endorsements are not only genuine but also well-deserved. He attributed the confidence reposed in Governor Oyebanji to his numerous people-oriented achievements, especially his consistent commitment to workers’ welfare. These include the regular and full payment of salaries, settlement of outstanding wage arrears, full implementation of approved salary structures for health workers, consistent staff training and retraining, timely promotions, and merit-based conversions.

He emphasized that Governor Oyebanji has not only fulfilled his promises but has also exceeded expectations through stable, inclusive, and listening-based governance — qualities that continue to set him apart as a visionary leader.

Hon. Oluwatuyi urged local government workers to continue supporting the governor’s administration so as to collectively enjoy enhanced peace, inclusivity, and the full delivery of democratic dividends across Ekiti State.

Also speaking, the Vice Chairman of the LG, Honourable Remi Alade, described the landmark endorsement as an open expression of gratitude from the workers, serving as both recognition of past achievements and encouragement for greater strides.

Adding his voice, the Secretary to the Local Government, Dr. Hon. Sule Fatai, lauded the workers for their wise and pragmatic show of support. He affirmed that their decision reflects a deep appreciation of the governor’s tangible accomplishments and trustworthy leadership.

Similarly, the Head of Local Government Administration (HLGA), Mrs. Akinbobola Deborah-B, commended the endorsement, stating that it demonstrates the workforce’s acknowledgment of the governor’s exceptional statesmanship and policy implementation prowess across multiple developmental fronts.
