Ekiti Government Commends NADDC, Simba Group on Mechatronics Training for Youths.
The Ekiti State Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment has commended the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) and Simba Group Nigeria Limited for their commitment to skills development and youth empowerment through the successful completion of a five day mechatronics training in Ado Ekiti.
The training, which focused on the repair and maintenance of both CNG and PMS powered motorcycles and tricycles, was held at the NADDC office on Iru Agba Street along Ilawe Road in Ado Ekiti. It brought together fifty young participants from across the state who were equipped with hands on technical skills to support the future of sustainable transportation and small scale mobility solutions.
Gracing the closing ceremony on Friday, July 11, the Commissioner expressed his delight at the impact of the program and reaffirmed the state government’s continued support for skill acquisition as a tool for wealth creation and gainful employment.
“This initiative aligns with the vision of the Governor Biodun Oyebanji administration to create pathways for youth empowerment and economic self reliance,” the Commissioner stated. “We are proud to support programs like this that translate directly into livelihoods for our people.”
The Commissioner also applauded the presence of the Director General of NADDC, Mr Oluwemimo Osanipin, and representatives from Simba Group Nigeria Limited, producers of TVS motorcycles and tricycles, for their collaboration in delivering high quality technical training.
The event, which marked the end of a week long knowledge sharing program, was filled with celebration as participants received certificates of completion and expressed gratitude for the life changing opportunity.
“This is more than just a training,” the Commissioner added. “It is a seed of opportunity that will grow into income, innovation, and independence for our youths.”
The Ministry for Wealth Creation and Employment continues to champion programs that bridge the gap between learning and earning, with a firm belief that practical skills remain a sustainable route to reducing unemployment in the state.
