Nigerians Abroad: Victor Osimhen Receives Paolo Rossi Award, Scores 100th Club Career Goals.
Nigerian Victor Osimhen has been honoured with Paolo Rossi award which is meant for league highest goal scorer.
Victor Osimhen last season became the first African player to emerge as the highest goal scorer in the Italian league after notching 26 goals.
His goals were pivotal to Napoli winning first scudetto since 1990.
Osimhen was also named the best striker in Italy last season and is tipped to be crowned as the 2023 African player of the year.
After scoring twice against Frosinone last week, Victor Osimhen bagged his third goal of the season by scoring the opener in the Napoli’s 2-0 win over visitors Sassuolo.
He fired home the opener from the spot in the sixteenth minutes to give Napoli the lead.
Osimhen has now scored 100 club career goals.
