Fayemi allegedly  debunks presidential ambition before Tinubu
 By Bamidele Oyekale
Ekiti state goernor, Dr.  Kayode Fayemi has allegedly debunked his Presidential ambition when he visited Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in his residence in Bourdillon, Ikoyi Lagos.

Reports has it that the chairman of the Nigeria  governors forum  also insisted during the meeting with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu that he has no anointed  candidate in the forthcoming election in Ekiti as against the speculation that he has anointed his former Secretary to the State Government Biodun Oyebanji as his successor.
A credible source close to Tinubu’s residence told CAPITAL POST late Thursday that Fayemi visited Tinubu to allegedly  pledge his loyalty to the former governor of Lagos State, 48 hours after Tinubu declares his Presidential ambition at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Fayemi  was also reported to   have insisted that he has no anointed candidate in the Ekiti forthcoming primary election that his goal is to handover to a worthy successor

A credible source close to Tinubu’s residence told CAPITAL POST late Thursday that Fayemi visited Tinubu to pledge his loyalty to the former governor of Lagos State, 48 hours after Tinubu declares his Presidential ambition at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The source said, “it is true that Fayemi visited Oga on Wednesday and the purpose of the meeting is just to clear the rumor of his presidential ambition before Asiwaju Tinubu and assure the former governor of Lagos State of his 100 percent loyalty to his struggle.
He said his rumored presidential ambition was deliberately designed to cause rift between him and Asiwaju

He told Oga that he will never work against the interest of Asiwaju in the Presidential election and on the issue of Ekiti election he clearly told Asiwaju that he has no anointed candidate in the forth coming primary election on January 27, that his only interest is to handover to APC governor in the state in October, 2022.”

AN OPEN LETTER TO THE GOVERNOR OF EKITI STATE, DR. JOHN KAYODE FAYEMI BY THE FESSU NATIONAL HOUSE OF SENATE, THE ASSEMBLY OF ALL FEDERATION OF EKITI STATE STUDENTS' UNION CHAPTER PRESIDENTS IN ALL HIGHER INSTITUTIONS.
Combatant greetings to you in the name of Aluta mother of all struggle; The  Federation Of Ekiti State Students' Union National House Of Senate ( FESSU HOS) assembly of all chapter presidents salutes your courage towards maintaining peace in Ekiti State. We strongly appreciate your commitment to bringing the best out of our state as a sitting governor and the Chairman of the Nigeria Governor's Forum.

Your Excellency, The Federation of Ekiti State Students' Union (FESSU) is a body saddled with the responsibility of all Ekiti State indigenous students' welfare in all tertiary institutions across the country and beyond. Sir, it is pathetic and seriously embarrassing that Ekiti State, which should be an emblem of good academic disposition and proper representation of her students has lost its face in the community of indigenous students in Nigeria under your government. The office of the Special Assistance on Youth and Students Matters to your office has become ineffective and impotent.
For it is most honorable to speak when silence is no more golden and epicurean, we realized that the Ekiti State government lack fulfillment of promises to the students' community and their association under your watch.

Referring Your Excellency to 27th July 2021 at Ekiti State Governor's Office, the students' leadership met with you, after proper consultation and deliberation some promises were made by the state government before the FESSU National Leadership, but none of those promises has been fulfilled till date. The list of promises made by Your Excellency, the Executive Governor of Ekiti State are as follows:

1. Bursary and scholarship for Ekiti State indigenous students in all tertiary institutions nationwide as promised by the State Governor;

2. provision of Permanent Secretariat for the union (FESSU);

3. provision of mobility for the union;

4. provision of incentive for the smooth running of the union; and

5. empowerment and employment of youth in Ekiti State.

These requests have been an everyday chorus to your government which when we had the opportunity of meeting you, it was our primary discussion and the government made the promise to attend to it, we met with the Special Assistance on Youth and Students Matters, Mr. Moses Ademiloye who later affirmed that the bursary and scholarship which is the major benefit of all Ekiti State students under your government has been approved and would be paid last year and other sacred requests of the union would be attended to latest on the 11th month of 2021. This statement seemed to be fake or we should call it empty promises and we believe that it is high time we get tired of empty promises. We, therefore, deem it fit and appropriate to write the office of Your Excellency and await a response before we consider our next course of action in respect of the Ekiti State Students and Youth welfare.

We hereby demand for immediate response to our request from the office of Your Excellency within seven working days and we are also compelled to notify you of our resolution to hit the street of Ekiti State capital, Ado Ekiti, peacefully and exercise our civic right to meet our agitation for all our demands for all indigenous students across the federation in various higher institutions.

Thanks
God bless Ekiti state
God bless our country.
