Oyebanji Commissions Okemesi/Ido-Ile LCDA New Secretariat Complex.

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, on Tuesday commissioned the newly constructed Okemesi/Ido-Ile Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Secretariat Complex.

The ultra-modern administrative building was built and delivered by the Council Chairman, Hon. Ajibade Sunday Owolabi.

Oyebanji, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye, said the project underscored the Council Chairman’s commitment to inclusive development and responsive governance at the grassroots.

The governor recalled that he had earlier commissioned the 13.27-kilometre Itawure–Okemesi Road in Okemesi-Ekiti, and called for continued support for his administration.

Oyebanji reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to meeting the needs of the people and promoting sustainable development across the state.

He commended Hon. Ajibade for providing an enabling environment and essential facilities to enhance government business, describing the new secretariat as a landmark achievement.

In his welcome address, Hon. Ajibade lauded Governor Oyebanji for his dedication to the welfare of the people of Ekiti State.

He said the construction of the council headquarters would enhance efficiency in the council’s operations, noting that staff members could now work in a more conducive and innovative environment.

Ajibade explained that the secretariat comprises 28 offices, each with toilet facilities, 24-hour solar power supply, fans, office furniture, and a borehole to ensure steady water supply.

The chairman expressed appreciation to the governor for granting autonomy to the councils, which he said had enabled them to deliver on their electioneering promises.
