In a heartfelt and purpose-driven address marking the resumption of duties after the festive break, the Administrative Head of Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government, Mrs. Akinbobola Deborah-Bosede, in her enthusiastic monthly chats with the IILG information Dept crew on Tuesday ,led by Mr Asubiojo, has gracefully reminded staff that every new beginning carries the seed of renewed responsibility and excellence.
She gently, yet firmly, on the course of the chat ,enjoined all personnel to rise with diligence and commitment, embracing their respective assignments with a spirit that reflects dedication, integrity, and professionalism. Like the dawn that follows the night, she urged them "to awaken to the demands of service, ensuring that their contributions echo progress and productivity within the system".
With a deeply spiritual undertone, Mrs Akinbobola, encouraged staff to embody unblemished morality and genuine love towards one another—drawing inspiration from the selfless Agape love exemplified by Christ on the cross of Calvary. In her words, "the power of the resurrection stands as a divine assurance that every dormant blessing, every delayed hope, and every weakened strength shall rise again into fulfillment".
Mrs. Akinbobola further painted a vision of an ethically grounded workforce—one where punctuality becomes a culture, diligence a lifestyle, and excellence a shared identity. She cautioned against the corrosive habits of eye-service, gossip, and backbiting, describing them as "silent saboteurs that hinder collective growth and diminish the dignity of public service".
In a tone of appreciation and forward-looking unity, she highlighted the importance of recognizing and supporting the impactful leadership of the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Governor Oyebanji Abayomi, whose unwavering commitment to the welfare of local government staff continues to yield visible transformation.
She noted that demonstrating gratitude through steadfast support in the forthcoming gubernatorial election would not only consolidate these gains but also inspire greater achievements across the local government system.
She also called for unwavering loyalty and dedicated support for the dynamic and visionary Chairman of Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government, Honourable Oluwatuyi Oluwagbenga, whose leadership she described as "balanced, progressive, and game-changing". She emphasized that collective alignment with such leadership fosters growth, unity, and sustainable development.
In rounding off her down to heart chats, Mrs. Akinbobola Deborah-Bosede reaffirmed that loyalty, discipline, unity, and professional excellence remain the pillars upon which a thriving administrative system is built. She left the staff with a resonating message—"that through commitment, love, and a shared vision, the Local Government shall not only function but flourish".
Mr Asubiojo, the Director of information and Civic Orientation Department,in his gentle and charismatic posture, equally appreciated the HLA, Mrs Akinbobola for the monthly interactive engagement, stating that"where duty meets devotion and service is ultimately crowned with sincerity, progress becomes inevitable ".
