The political atmosphere in Ekiti Central Federal Constituency I became charged on Thursday as a seasoned Architect and community builder, Arch. Tope Ogunleye, formally picked the All Progressives Congress, APC, Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to contest for House of Representatives seat.
Arch. Tope, Addressing newsmen immediately after picking the forms, declared that his mission was simple: “to change the narrative of representation in Ekiti Central Federal Constituency I to a more responsive position .”
“I strongly believe we can have better opportunities from the green Chamber. I am going to Abuja not to learn the job, but to do the job. Ado & Irepodun/ifelodun deserve a representative who understands lobbying, and urgency,” RST stated.
Arch. Tope, also pledged to run a “constituency-first” office with functional liaison offices in ADO & IREPODUN/IFELODUN, promising regular town hall meetings to give regular account of stewardship to the people.
“Representation must be measured in kilometers of roads, number of youths employed, and lives touched. I will sponsor bills that speak to our agrarian economy and use my architectural contacts to bring projects home”, he vowed.
He commended Governor Biodun Oyebanji for providing purposeful leadership in Ekiti State, noting that the governor’s performance had made the job of APC candidates easier across board and pledged to be “BAO’s chief collaborator” in the continuation of developmental strides in Ekiti State.
