APC stakeholders adopt Adaramodu as consensus candidate for Ekiti South senatorial race.

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti South Senatorial District have affirmed Senator Adeyemi Raphael Adaramodu as the party’s consensus candidate for the 2027 senatorial election.

The decision, according to a letter of availment addressed to the APC Ekiti State chapter in Ado Ekiti, followed what the stakeholders described as “wide consultations” with party leaders and members across wards and local government areas in the district.

The stakeholders said the move was in line with the directive of the party to adopt consensus arrangements where possible, noting that the process enjoyed overwhelming support without any form of dissent.

They explained that the resolution was reached during a stakeholders’ meeting held on April 13, 2026, at the senatorial office located on Moshood Road, Ikere Ekiti.

The letter partly read, “Following due consultations with stakeholders, leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress across the district, we hereby affirm that Senator Adeyemi Raphael Adaramodu has emerged as the consensus candidate of our party for the position of senator in the forthcoming 2027 election.

“This decision reflects the collective will of party members and underscores the need for unity, stability and victory for the APC in Ekiti South Senatorial District.”

The stakeholders further urged the State Working Committee of the party to take necessary steps to formalise the candidacy of Adaramodu in line with party guidelines.

They added that minutes of the stakeholders’ meeting were attached to the letter as part of the documentation supporting the decision.

The document was jointly endorsed by key district officers, including the senatorial chairman, woman leader, youth leader, Public Relations Officer and secretary, acting on behalf of APC stakeholders in Ekiti South.
