Ekiti to Host National Agribusiness Policy Mechanism Seasonal Workshop.

As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen inclusivity and promote state ownership in Nigeria’s food systems, the Presidential Food Systems Coordinating Unit (PFSCU), in collaboration with the Ekiti State Government, is set to organize a three-day National Agribusiness Policy Mechanism (NAPM) seasonal workshop.

The Ekiti State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Ebenezer Boluwade, disclosed that the workshop, which will be held across participating states, will be first co-hosted in Ado-Ekiti from Monday, April 13 to Wednesday, April 15, 2026.

According to him, the workshop will take place at the Lady Jibowu Hall, beginning at 9:00 a.m. daily.

He explained that the workshop is designed to deliberate on the 2025/2026 minor season (Cycle 3) planning, as well as review and validate outcomes from Cycle 2, which has been successfully completed. The engagement will also provide a platform to align priorities and strategies for the upcoming agricultural cycle.

The Commissioner noted that the initiative underscores the commitment of both the Federal and State Governments to fostering a more coordinated, inclusive, and data-driven approach to agribusiness development and food systems transformation.

Participants are expected to attend from NAPM pilot states, relevant Federal Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), as well as development partners and key stakeholders in the agricultural sector.

The workshop is anticipated to further strengthen collaboration among stakeholders and enhance policy implementation for improved agricultural productivity and food security across the country.
