AJONI LCDA FLAGS OFF CONSTRUCTION OF MODERN DIVISIONAL POLICE HEADQUARTERS IN IPAO EKITI.


It was a historic and defining moment for the people of Ipao Ekiti and the entire Ajoni Local Council Development Area (LCDA) as the foundation laying ceremony for a Modern Divisional Police Headquarters was held with grandeur, attracting high-profile dignitaries, security chiefs, and enthusiastic members of the community.


The landmark event represents a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to strengthen the security architecture of Ajoni LCDA under the purposeful and visionary leadership of the Executive Chairman, Amb. Prince Michael Oluwadare Ogungbemi, FCPA.


The ceremony witnessed the presence of eminent personalities, including the Commissioner of Police, Ekiti State Command, CP Falade Adegoroye Michael; the Director-General of the Homeland Intelligence Agency, Dr. Adetuberu Oludotun; the Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Samuel Alaba Abejide; and the revered traditional ruler, His Royal Majesty, Oba Williams Ehinmodupin, the Obanla of Ipao Ekiti. They were joined by other top government officials, community leaders, political stakeholders, and residents who turned out in large numbers to witness the epoch-making occasion.


In his welcome address, the Executive Chairman, Amb. Ogungbemi, expressed profound appreciation to the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Biodun Oyebanji, for his unwavering support, for approving and release of funds for the establishment of the Divisional Police Headquarters in Ipao Ekiti. He described the project as a strategic intervention designed to enhance rapid security response, curb criminal activities, and safeguard lives and property across Ajoni communities.


He further highlighted the strides of his administration in promoting peace, stability, and socio-economic development, noting that security remains the bedrock upon which sustainable development is built. According to him, the project is not just an infrastructure initiative but a legacy investment in the safety and future of the people.


Delivering his remarks, Hon. Alaba Abejide commended the Ekiti State Government for its consistent support for grassroots-oriented initiatives, describing the project as a clear demonstration of responsive and people-centered governance.

Similarly, the Commissioner of Police, CP Falade Adegoroye Michael, reaffirmed the commitment of the Ekiti State Police Command to combating crime and maintaining law and order across the state. He assured residents that the new divisional headquarters would significantly enhance policing capacity, improve intelligence gathering, and boost operational efficiency within Ipao Ekiti and its environs.


In a symbolic highlight of the ceremony, dignitaries and community leaders moved to the project site where the official foundation laying was performed, marking the formal commencement of construction. 


The moment was greeted with excitement, hope, and renewed confidence among residents, many of whom described the development as a long-awaited and transformative intervention.
