Ekiti 2026: OSV Tells APC Members to Revalidate Cards, Urges Public to Register for PVC.

Ekiti 2026: OSV Tells APC Members to Revalidate Cards, Urges Public to Register for PVC.

The Oyebanji Street Vanguard (OSV), a grassroots mobilisation group loyal to Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, has asked members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State to revalidate their party membership ahead of the October 27, 2025 governorship primaries.

The group also advised the general public, particularly those of voting age, to register for their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) in readiness for the governorship election.

Convener of the movement, HC Ade, in a statement on Friday, said only financially up-to-date members who revalidate their membership would be eligible to vote or be voted for during the primaries, in line with Article 9.3(1) of the APC constitution.

He stressed that possession of a valid PVC remained the only legal requirement for every eligible citizen to participate in the governorship poll and other elections in the state.

Ade noted that PVC applicants must provide details such as name, date of birth, phone number, ward, polling unit, home address, and occupation or student status, with physical presence mandatory for biometric capturing. For replacements or transfers, he said applicants must present either their old card or the personal details used for the previous registration.

“The revalidation exercise will not only keep APC members up-to-date but also make them eligible for the party’s primary election. Likewise, obtaining a PVC will empower the general public of voting age to exercise their civil rights and ensure continuity of good governance under the APC-led administration of Governor Oyebanji,” the statement read.

Ade urged both APC members and eligible residents not to be left out, warning that failure to comply would mean ineligibility to participate in the political process.

“As I speak today, the construction of Ado-Ikere-Itaogbolu-Akure road is ongoing, also the Ado-Ijan-Iluomoba road has been awarded, while the state has also completed the reconstruction of the Ado- Iworoko- Ifaki federal road to complement the efforts of the federal government. it is unfair for any Ekiti indigene to use the condition of Aramoko-Itawure road to measure this government.
