Venite University to Host AI, Academic Excellence Seminar on May 12, 2026.
Venite University, Iloro-Ekiti, has fixed 12 May 2026 for a high-stakes academic seminar that will interrogate how institutions can protect and strengthen quality education as artificial intelligence reshapes learning, teaching, and research.
The event, the first in a planned seminar series by the College of Agriculture, Computing, Engineering and Sciences, will bring together senior academics and industry voices to address growing concerns around academic standards in an AI-driven era. Organisers say the conversation will centre on practical ways universities can maintain credibility while adapting to fast-moving technological change.
The seminar, themed “Quality Academics: Preserving and Enhancing Institutional Excellence in the Era of Artificial Intelligence Disruptions,” will hold at the university’s main auditorium at 11:00 a.m.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Charity Onye Aremu, will lead proceedings as Chief Host, alongside the Dean of the College, Professor Kehinde Agbele. The session will feature Victor Ogunbiyi, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at New Horizons Nigeria, who is expected to deliver the keynote on institutional resilience and innovation in the face of AI disruption.
