RST Intensifies Grassroots Campaign for Oyebanji, Receives Community Endorsement for House of Representatives.

A political stakeholder in Ekiti State, Hon. Architect Ronald ‘Tope Ogunleye (RST), has intensified grassroots mobilization in support of the re-election bid of Ekiti State Governor, , ahead of the June 20 governorship election.

Ogunleye made this known on Saturday during the regular meeting of the Faglo/Surulere Support Group for the governor, held in Ado-Ekiti, where landlords, members of the (APC), and community residents were in attendance.

Addressing the gathering, the APC Unit 027 Chairman, Mr. Olatunbosun Afolabi, appreciated the state government for several developmental interventions in the community. According to him, these include the provision of a brand new transformer with concrete poles and electric cables facilitated through the Senior Special Assistant on Citizens’ Rights to the Governor, Barr. Adesola Ogundele, installation of solar street lights, and the asphalt laying of the road linking Faglo/Surulere to Bawa Estate Junction.

Afolabi expressed gratitude to the governor for the projects and assured that the community would reciprocate the gesture with massive support, pledging that residents would deliver overwhelming votes for the governor in the forthcoming election.

Also speaking, Chairman of the Faglo/Surulere Support Group for Oyebanji, Pastor Yinka Akinlua, assured Ogunleye that members of the community were fully committed to mobilising residents to vote for the governor.

In his remarks, Ogunleye commended the unity and commitment of the community towards development. He urged landlords and residents to increase the voting strength of Unit 027, noting that stronger voter turnout would attract more government projects and infrastructure to the area.

As part of efforts to support community development, Ogunleye donated 50 bags of cement on behalf of Governor Oyebanji to support the ongoing construction of the Surulere Community Public Health Care Centre. He also made a cash donation to the Faglo/Surulere Support Group to assist with their meetings and mobilization activities.

The architect used the opportunity to formally inform the community of his aspiration to represent Ado/Irepodun Federal Constituency I in the House of Representatives, seeking the support and prayers of residents.

Responding, the Chairman of the Landlords’ Association, Mr. Olatunde Joseph, alongside other residents, expressed appreciation for the donations, noting that the gesture would significantly support the progress of the community health centre project and improve healthcare access for residents.

Members of the community present at the meeting subsequently endorsed Ogunleye’s aspiration for the House of Representatives seat.

The meeting ended with a vote of thanks delivered by Elder Olugbenro, followed by prayers for continued progress and sustained partnership between the community and government.
