Council Boss, Hon Rufus Olorunfemi, Donates Office Materials, Cash to Security Agencies.



The Chairman of Ikere West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Rufus Ige Olorunfemi, on Thursday, distributed office materials, bags of cement, and cash donations to various security agencies in Ikere, Ekiti State.

The distribution, which took place at the council secretariat along Igbara Odo Road, was part of the council’s effort to appreciate and support security operatives for their role in maintaining peace and order in the area.


Items donated include 32 plastic chairs, five office chairs, four pairs of electrical standing fans, five office tables, and 20 bags of Dangote cement.

In addition to the materials, the council also disbursed ₦500,000 to the Agro Marshal security group in the town, reportedly to support the payment of their salaries. Furthermore, each of the other security agencies received ₦50,000 as operational support.

Security outfits that benefited from the gesture include the Nigeria Police Force, Amotekun Corps, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ekiti State Peace Corps, State Security Service (SSS), and the Agro Marshal security.



Speaking during the event, Hon. Olorunfemi said the donations were aimed at boosting the morale of security personnel and enhancing their working environment.

“The safety of our people remains a top priority, and we recognise the crucial role our security agencies play in ensuring peace and stability,” he said.

Present at the occasion were the Vice Chairman of the council, Hon. Daramola Ajayi; the Council Secretary, Hon. Oso Olubayode; the Councilor representing Ikere West LCDA; Mr. Akinjayo Adesoji (HLA); Heads of Departments; and other key stakeholders.

Community members and security representatives in attendance commended the council’s gesture, describing it as timely and impactful.
