The Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN) National Headquarters has extend its heartfelt congratulations to Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede on his well-deserved elevation as the substantive Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

In light of his new position, we charge the Chief of Army Staff to prioritize the reformation and modernization of the Nigerian Army. The youth of Nigeria call for innovative strategies to tackle insurgency, banditry, and other forms of insecurity threatening our nation's peace and development. We believe that through enhanced training, improved welfare for troops, and the adoption of cutting-edge technology, the Nigerian Army can be better equipped to face contemporary security challenges. Lieutenant General Oluyede has a unique opportunity to set a legacy of transformation and progress.

Furthermore, YAN commends his efforts so far in fostering discipline, unity, and professionalism within the ranks of the Nigerian Army.
