Ekiti 2026 FOR BAO, will be a triumph or success that is well deserved, earned, or morally justifiable.

#OPINION

THE HARD TRUTH:
Ekiti 2026 FOR BAO, will be a triumph or success that is well deserved, earned, or morally justifiable.
_Johnson Ola Folarin (JOF)_

Regardless of where you meet yourself, you don't have an excuse for bad attitude. Those who are egoistic and too frail to be influenced wrongly could also have chosen to act rightly, but are instead doing otherwise. Those who don't have what it takes to roundly exude good character towards the public, are obviously going to condemn who's humbly and respectfully doing things.

Some People are name-calling BAO who has been roundly and respectfully captivating, to be too politically strategic. Even when they call it *"white blood cell"*, it remains blood. Prolly, they didn't know BAO has been too refined right from childhood, according to testaments of those who were in the know of his personal growth cum political developments from hay-life; testimonies abound as we were all here to see what happened between him (BAO) and his former Tailor whilst in the University. The Tailor said he's so surprised BAO 'has' not changed from who he used to be of time.

These traits have become what the envious opponents hate in BAO; his good character is winning People to his side by the day and the disgruntled elements are erroneously tagging him to be too open to the electorate. Don't be upset... IT'S INNATE!

BAO brought his good character into Politics,  politics did not build that out of him. For a close instance, BAO was not Ekiti Governor when he volunteered to be part of the *"Committee for the Creation of Ekiti State"* and was the youngest of them all. Amongst were Royal Majesties, Religious Leaders, Academic Giants, Scions, Industrialists and many other great People; they've all become living Legends for Ekiti State today. BAO has been so focused, exemplary and blessed with required standards to thrive and have seamless encounters with the Elderly and random People. However, these unassailable factors are now working and paving the ways for his clear victory ahead of 2026.

Tell me the group of People who is not involved in the project now, either directly or indirectly? Those with the burdens of political monotonies can continue striking the air, BAO remains the right man Ekiti People are chorusing his qualities, generosity, and therefore willfully affirming and calling for his continuity.

Those who are maliciously putting Ekiti in the News for the wrong reasons are just like Eunuchs condemning beautiful Brides because they don't have what it takes to make fertile moves.

BAO, has simplified politics in Ekiti and those feeling uncomfortable with his firebrand popularity and servant-leader endowment, are only green with resentment for no justifiable reasons.

Ask them why they want to take over from BAO, they'll say to you: "we're rescuing the People". Ask them which People? They're talking about the electorate whose supports for BAO have been immensely unadulterated.

Funnily enough, same Ekiti People they're trying to deceive with their phony passion and emergency showmanship, are the ones genuinely saying BAO should ride on. Sometimes, I look at these crop of People who are politically despair and can't but just chuckle and move my head in sympathy with their "dead on arrival" bat eyes at, albeit  deceiving themselves to be coming to wrestle power from the man with wider acceptability, BAO.

We'll continue to remind them they're coming at the wrong time. Ekiti People are still solidly behind BAO. Everything is working for him politically and it's now crystal clear some People only loathe him for what he commands that they don't have. These have become their wishful and tall dreams.

BAO's second term is sealed and delivered to him already by God because he has earned it through intentionality, diligence and respect for the public People.

Nevertheless, majority of the electorate in love with BAO are same People they'll still be needing after the completion of his second term. God is always kind to People who show respect to the old, young, everyone and everything... That's where BIODUN ABAYOMI OYEBANJI (BAO) comes in.

The successive government or Governor in Ekiti, starting from October 16th, 2030, will need to ride on the goodwill of BAO to stand a chance of winning the support of Ekiti People in general. Be loyal to Ekiti (BAO's government) and the *"Alale Ekiti"* (The Owners of Ekiti land) will reward you bountifully. Let's all continue to support BAO so he can drive us safely to the pathway that is blessed with milk and honey. WITH BAO, WE'RE ALMOST THERE!!!

The over-ambitious opponents should stop putting Ekiti in the News for bad reasons, by paying media houses to malign the image of the  State just because of evil desires for wanting to score cheap political advantages, alas, their chicanery will certainly be antithetical-  it won't be remarkably and favourably fruitful.

Those who truly seek the good of Ekiti State will reap it. There's no competition in destiny for God has blessed BAO, no one can curse him by mounting rebellion.

If those ones are wise enough, they should be friends with BAO now to get the political calculations very well ahead of 2030 when BAO will be handling over to the next person to drive the State's progress more  further.

Those who are maliciously and mendaciously trying to ensnare BAO in the pit of controversies and blackmails are just doing in vain. They should buckle up for 2030 and drum their support for Ekiti/BAO now because God is always with People's choice, BIODUN ABAYOMI OYEBANJI (BAO). Vox Populi, Vox Dei.

Ekiti Rainstorm Wreckage Massive, Traumatizing, Oyebanji Laments.

Ekiti Rainstorm Wreckage Massive, Traumatizing, Oyebanji Laments.
...Pledges support for victims.

The Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has lamented the massive destruction of property during the Saturday's torrential downpour in Ado Ekiti capital city, describing the proportion of wreckage as monumental and worrisome to his government.

Oyebanji, had in a statement shortly after the stormy rainfall, sympathised with the victims and pledged government's support for those who were enmeshed in the web of destruction of timely interventions to rebuild their damaged structures.

Worst hit by the tornado were residential buildings, commercial structures, public institutions, while electrical facilities were not spared by the stormy rainfall, as many poles and telecommunication masts were pulled down by the furious wind.

While touring the sections affected on Sunday to evaluate the level of wreckage, Oyebanji, represented by the Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye, said he was happy that there were no casualties during the torrential and stormy downpour.

The governor posited that while some structures experienced partial damage, it was a complete sweeping for the rooftops and the entire structures  in some places, which he said would automatically subject the owners to emergency  financial burden.

Oyebanji applauded the Ado Ekiti traditional institution for demonstrating concerns over the incidence, by making representation to tour the metropolis to appraise the level of destruction.

The governor assured that his government being pro-masses, won't abandon the victims in subduing the emergency shock occasioned by the disaster that rendered hundreds homeless and destroyed commercial centres.

"You could see that the destruction  was massive and there is no way it won't be a financial burden to those that were affected. Though, we are happy that no life was lost, this is the major thing to us.

"We have always been advocating that our people should do turnaround maintenance on their buildings before the start of rainy season. The government was also encouraging tree planting around residential buildings to serve as wind breakers. These are the best ways to prevent some of these occurrences.

"We really sympathised with those affected. Like we have said earlier, we won't abandon them. We are with them and the government will surely intervene and give support required to rebuild these damaged structures", he promised.

At every location visited, Oyebanji assured that the operatives of the Ekiti State Emergency Management Agency and National Emergency Management Agency will revisit the flashpoints to  evaluate the damaged structures and enumerate the victims to guide the government on how best to intervene in the matter.

Oyebanji directed the SEMA operatives to do a thorough evaluation and enumeration exercise of those affected in collaboration with NEMA, so that all the victims and estimate of their losses can be captured adequately.

Oyebanji appealed to the federal government to intervene timely in Ekiti rainstorm incidence, regretting that thousands across the 16 local governments have become homeless, while some had already lost their means of livelihoods.

Speaking on the wreckage, the Chairman of Ado North LCDA, Hon. Tokunbo Gbadamosi, warned those who have been creating panic on social media to desist, saying the government is on top of the situation.

"Our people shouldn't panic over this matter. Th current government is about the masses. Those affected will be supported to overcome these challenges. The government believes that this is a collective challenge and it will be resolved collectively".

On the entourage are:  Chairmen of Ado Ekiti Local Government, Hon. Bosun Osaloni, Ado North Local Council Development Area(LCDA) , Hon Tokunbo Gbadamosi, Ado Central LCDA, Hon Toyin Ojo, Ado West LCDA, Hon Bolu Aladesanmi,  Chairman, Ekiti State Emergency Management Agency's board, Alhaji Ademola Bello, Director General, Bureau of Community Communication, Mrs Mary Oso Omotoso, members of Ewi-in-Council, top government functionaries, among others.

The power of data cannot be over-emphasized as it is crucial to helping organizations make informed decisions, drive growth and investment. This was the goal when key stakeholders from the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism and The Creative Economy, led by the Honorable Minister, Hon Hannatu Musa Musawa and her team, met with Leaders of Cavista Holdings and Cavista Technologies, led by Mr. Niyi John Olajide and his team, at the Ikogosi Warms Springs and Conference center, to review progress made so far and watch a demonstration of Nigeria’s first national creative and cultural database, tagged Destination Nigeria 2030 aka D30.

The Destination Nigeria 2030 database is a foundational digital infrastructure developed by Cavista Technologies in partnership with VIISUAS and Big Win Philanthropy. The platform is designed to map, organize and visualize Nigeria’s creative cultural and tourism ecosystems across all 36 states of the country, including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. It will, among other functions, aggregate real-time sectoral data, provides insights into job creation trends, empower evidence-based policy making and serve as a monitoring and evaluation tool for key initiatives.

Ooni, Oyebanji lauds Agbeyewa Farms, Harps on Synergy Between Investors , Royal Fathers and Host Communities for Economic Development.

The Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has stressed the importance of traditional rulers in fostering economic growth and community development.

The foremost traditional ruler who spoke on Thursday in Ikogosi Ekiti, Ekiti State at the two days  2025 Traditional Rulers Retreat sponsored by Agbeyewa Farms, tagged "Unlocking Ekiti's Potential : The Role of Traditional Rulers in Attracting Investments"  said community development should not be left for government alone while he called on private individuals  with the resources to join hands with royal fathers in repositioning the state economically.

Ooni maintained that the roles of traditional institutions have  metamorphosed over the years from the custodian of culture, norms and traditional values to be actively involved in policy making, developmental  projects and nation building.

The Monarch  particularly modeled the founder of cavista holdings Mr Niyi John Olajide whom he lauded for his  efforts in fusing community and private sectors with robust synergy  believes the action has  proven that traditional rulers can also be a  catalyst of human and infrastructural development .

" Traditional rulers have important roles to play, for example  Agbeyewa Farm who has involved us from the conceptualisation, to the plannings and execution of projects. It is worthy to note that they have successfully turned  areas known to be a  kidnappers den in Ekiti to a viable economic axis."

Oba Ogunwusi while celebrating  Agbeyewa's success said the Cavista Holdings will also serve as a model for the entire country. He also urged  more  collaborations with royal fathers of respective communities in  fostering economic pact which he believed will hasten development in Nigeria communities.

Earlier, the Ekiti State Governor  Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji reaffirms the government commitment   to create conducive environment for investors to strike meaningful partnership with traditional rulers.

Represented by his Chief of Staff, Mr. Oyeniyi Adebayo, the Governor identifies traditional rulers as peace brokers that would enhance development in their domain.

Governor Oyebanji used the opportunity to  call on other investors to cooperate with them for the progress of their investments.

Earlier in his opening speech, the Founder of Cavista holdings which also doubles as the parent body of Agbeyewa Farms, Mr. Niyi John-Olajide declares that  Agbeyewa Farms Limited, is the largest cassava farm in Nigeria and has  empowered over 1,500 people with its 5,000 targeted hectares of cassava farm across communities in the state.

While thanking the traditional rulers for allowing Agbeyewa to excel, the founder of Cavista holding called on other communities to receive him with open hands for the growth of Ekiti State for sustainability.

Managing Director of  Agbeyewa Farms Oska Aiyeleso in his address gave a comprehensive report about the activities of the company which he attributed its significant growth from
2023.

He explained that the company was able to progress  to 380.5 hectares with the  goal  to build a foundation that is  solid, sustainable, and scalable. "When I assumed the mandate of leadership in August 2024, the farm was coming off a modest season, only 8.1 hectares had been cultivated between January and July. Yet, the vision handed to us was ambitious: 3,000 hectares of cultivation before year-end of 2024.With urgency and purpose, we rallied the team, retooled our systems, and rekindled our partnerships"

Aiyeleso said he was able to  achieve the  almost impossible task of  planting over 1,000 hectares of cassava across  farmlands.
"This leap wasn’t accidental. It was the product of vision, investment, innovation, and most importantly, the unwavering support of our leaders and host communities." He concluded that the supposed  limitations made scaling almost impossible and kept productivity low but was glad that the efforts is yielding positive results
