Atabiakin Olawale Trailing the Blaze As Ondo State Coordinator of Commercial Motorcycle and Tricycle Association of Nigeria.

Atabiakin Olawale Trailing the Blaze As Ondo State Coordinator of Commercial  Motorcycle and Tricycle Association of Nigeria.

Giant strides made towards the empowerment of youths in Ondo State in the transportation sector by the man Atabiakin Olawale is no doubt commendable.

The State Coordinator of the Commercial Motorcycle and Tricycle Association of Nigeria, Ondo State Chapter popularly known as Keke Maruwa or Keke NAPEP in the last few years has quite demonstrated so much competence, capacity and diligence targeted at rebranding, repositioning and re-tooling the association for effective service delivery in the transportation sector.

In the last few years, he has consistently and passionately
advocated for smart and safer means of transportation for residents and commuters within the Akure metropolis. From Oke Aro to Oja Oba, Igoba to Oke-Ijebu and across major internal routes and access roads within the sunshine city have been occupied by these yellow tricycles who now provide a safer means of transportation  to our people.

The increased numbers of tricycles we see plying our roads in recent times here in Akure is a product of Mr.Atabiakin Olawale's leading role and his active involvement in the importation and distribution  of tricycles popularly  known as 'keke maruwa or keke NAPEP'  to a large population  of able men and women that makes up the youth population  in Ondo State.

Verifiable records show that over 500 tricycles have been distributed so far to members of the Motorcycle and Tricycle Operators Association here in Ondo State under the leadership of the man Atabiakin Olawale who stands as the State Coordinator.

Interesting to know that he finally sealed a partnership with the popular TVS company, noted to be a giant manufacturer of TVS tricycles with the mission to actively engage jobless youths who are willing to work as tricycle riders within  and outside Akure, the state capital. This giant strides being made by a man with such potential and creative mindset is no doubt exemplary in his leadership style and should be allowed to further carry on his shoulder the leadership and coordination of the Commercial Motorcycle  and Tricycle Association of Nigeria in Ondo State under a more organised and responsive union.

He has so far played his role with a mission to key into and promote the Odatiwa, Odirorun mantra of His Excellency Dr. Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa's administration whose  agenda is to actively engage  the youths in Ondo State by providing employment for them so as to further appeal  to their conscious and subconscious minds to shun social vices and other criminal acts so that we can all have a safer Ondo State where peace and prosperity  has come to stay.

EKITI DENIES EXISTENCE OF SHARIA COURT OR ITS RESEMBLANCE IN EKITI STATE.

EKITI DENIES EXISTENCE OF SHARIA COURT OR ITS RESEMBLANCE IN EKITI STATE.
…… says no Sharia Court or Panel in the State’s Judicial Structure.

Ekiti State Government has denied the existence of either the Sharia Court or the proposed Independent Sharia Arbitration Panel in the State.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday, the State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Dayo Apata (SAN), said that the Independent Sharia Arbitration Panel is not in the judicial structure of the State, noting that “Arbitration and/or Mediation issue is a Quasi-Judicial matters which are regulated by Law” in the State.

Mr. Dayo Apata (SAN), The State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice.

Apata said there is existing legal structure in Ekiti State (i.e. Customary Court, Customary Court of Appeal and High Court) that has been handling issues relating to Islamic, Christian and Traditional Marriages and inheritance without any rancour or agitation.

According to him, “the Sharia Courts in the North are equivalent to the Customary Courts in the Southern part of Nigeria wherein the Appeals therefrom also goes to the Sharia Court of Appeal”, adding that “the State similarly has Customary Courts that hear customary cases as well as the Customary Court of Appeal that hears appeals from the Customary Courts”.

Noting that the States High Courts and all other Courts also have Arbitration and Mediation mechanism, Apata emphasised that Customary Courts and the Customary Court of Appeal can effectively take care of any customary issues arising from Yoruba Traditional Marriages, Islamic Marriages, and Christian Marriages especially the ones that were not backed-up by the Statutory Marriages which can only be dissolved by the States High Courts throughout Nigeria.

While noting that the issue is a religious matter that must be handled with utmost care, Apata however cautioned against activities that may negatively affect the State government’s policy of peaceful coexistence among residents of the State, stressing that government would not compromise on any action that may hinder the prevailing peace and fester hostility in the State.

He said Government is not unmindful of the fact the race for 2026 Governorship election is gathering momentum in Ekiti State and opposition members that cannot fault the performance of the State Government have resorted to all sort of unethical practices. He therefore advised religious leaders to be weary of being used as tools by politicians and fifth columnists because Government will not hesitate to invoke the full weight of the law to protect the Constitution of the Federation and maintain peaceful co-existence in the state.
