The Spokesperson of the 10th Senate and Chairman, Senate Committee on Youth Development and Community Engagement, Senator Yemi Adaramodu, heartily congratulates the former Governor of Ekiti State and eminent statesman, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi, on the occasion of his 61st birthday.

Having had the privilege of serving as Chief of Staff to Dr. Fayemi during his first tenure as Governor of Ekiti State, Senator Adaramodu attests to his uncommon leadership style, administrative brilliance, and deep commitment to institutional development, people-centered policies, and sustainable governance.

Dr. Fayemi’s impactful service as a two-term Governor of Ekiti State brought transformative reforms across critical sectors, strengthening governance structures and promoting socio-economic development. His tenure as Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum further demonstrated his capacity for consensus building, strategic leadership, and advocacy for cooperative federalism. As former Minister of Solid Minerals, he contributed significantly to repositioning the sector towards economic diversification and national growth. His current role as President of the Forum of Regions of Africa further underscores his global relevance and dedication to strengthening sub-national governance and regional cooperation across Africa.
