Hon. Oluwatuyi Lauds Ekiti Gov't, Highlights Achievements.




In a recent press briefing held at his office in Igede Ekiti, the Executive Chairman of Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government, Hon. Gbenga Oluwatuyi, expressed commendation for the leadership of the Ekiti State Government, particularly Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, whom he hailed as a man with the right mental attitude and an unwavering determination to achieve his goals.

During the briefing, Hon. Oluwatuyi conveyed deep gratitude to Governor Oyebanji for the government's continuous efforts in improving the well-being of the people of Ekiti State. He specifically appreciated initiatives aimed at bringing smiles to the faces of both present and past political officeholders, as well as civil servants, underscoring the government's commitment to overall welfare and development.

Highlighting his administration's commitment to grassroots development, Hon. Oluwatuyi outlined several ongoing projects aimed at enhancing the lives of residents. These initiatives include the construction of the Aye/Health Centre Road in Igede-Ekiti, dredging of Elemi River, and rehabilitation of boreholes. Additionally, provisions for health care programs such as IMPACT PLUS and WORLD BANK were emphasized as critical components of the government's efforts to improve healthcare access and delivery.

In the agricultural sector, Hon. Oluwatuyi underscored completed projects such as the rehabilitation of a Pen House for piggeries, aimed at boosting both Internal Generated Revenue (IGR) and protein intake among the populace. He commended the efforts of the Director of Finance and Revenue Staff for their contributions to improving the IGR, while urging them to continue their efforts considering the limitations of federal allocations.

Addressing staff welfare, the Council Boss reiterated his administration's priority of ensuring the well-being of employees through prompt payment of salaries, allowances, and continuous training to enhance productivity.



Regarding security, Hon. Oluwatuyi expressed gratitude for the prevailing peaceful coexistence in the area. He emphasized the importance of regular peace meetings with security agents to ensure the safety of lives and property, while providing necessary logistical support for optimal performance.




The meeting was attended by key officials including the Vice Chairman, Engr. Remi Alade, Secretary to the Local Government, Head of Local Government Administration, Mrs Kofoworola Rotimi, Director of Administration, Prince Adegoke Oladimeji, Director of Finance, Mrs Christiana Ogundele, Director of Environmental Services, Mrs Kehinde Abiodun , Director of WASH, Mrs Kehinde Akode, Director of Audits,Mr. Bukola Dada, Director of Information and Civic Orientation, Chief (Mrs) Bimbo Yusuf, Deputy Director of Finance, Mrs Feyisayo Oyerinde, Legislative Officer, Mrs Adenike Daramola, Assistant PM, Mr Dare Olowo.

Others were the Legislative Leader, Hon.(Mrs) Yemisi Olagunju, Directors of various Departments, councilors, and other dignitaries, reflecting a unified commitment towards the development and prosperity of Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area.
