The leading aspirant for the Yewa South/Ipokia Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Akinlade Abiodun Isiaq, earlier today met with the leaders of Ifekowajo Sticker Group in the Ajilete area of Yewa South, Ogun state.

The People's honorable in his consultation tour across the length and breadth of his constituency visited the group today  to disclose his readiness to saddle and oversee the affairs of Yewa South/Ipokia federal constituency at the National Assembly in 2023.

The members of the group were also excited and enthusiastic to have in their midst, the person of Akinlade Abiodun.

As we mark and celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, may we keep in remembrance the true meaning of this holiday. More importantly, let us always strive to conduct our daily lives in accordance with the clear and beneficial message of this occasion. We use this moment of gratitude to extend our sincere greetings to Muslims in Nigeria and around the world as well as to people of other creeds and faiths.

To be true Muslims is to adhere to the principles of peace, tolerance, justice, and charity. Our faith asks us to stand against those perpetrating evil and visiting untold misery on others. And we must remain forever obedient to the kind and life-affirming principles of our faith.

Eid reminds us to place our faith in the compassion and wisdom of Allah and to be obedient to His instructions as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim. By his action, Prophet Ibrahim demonstrated true Islam and submission to Allah. Prophet Ibrahim understood that the ways and commands of Almighty Allah SWT are supremely more life giving and enlightening than the ways of man. 

AS we celebrate Eid, let us use this moment to rededicate ourselves to greater adherence to the spiritually-enriching commands of Almighty Allah SWT. We must show the true spirit of Islam in our lives and not just on these special holidays. The holidays are given to us not merely as special moments to celebrate, but as kind reminders to strive as we must to become the people and nation we are meant to be.

Capt. Sunday Ebenezer Adebomi (SEA) has felicitated with Muslims on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim’s devotion to Allah SWT and his readiness to sacrifice his son, Ismail.

Capt. Sunday Ebenezer Adebomi (SEA) made these remarks speaking to his media team (SEAMEDIA) in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State Nigeria. He urged Muslim faithfuls across the country to inculcate the exemplary and muslimatic lifestyle displayed by PROPHET MUHAMMAD AND PROPHET IBRAHIM.

“As we celebrate with friends, family and well wishers for the festivities, we are charged to always remember the core essence and TRUE MEANING of EID-UL-ADHA which is in recognition of the love, sacrifice and readiness of PROPHET IBRAHIM to sacrifice his son, Ismail. At the very point of sacrifice, Allah SWT replaced Ismail with a ram, which was to be slaughtered in place of his son. This command from Allah SWT was a test of Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness and commitment to obey his Lord’s command, without question. Therefore, Eid-ul-Adha means the festival of sacrifice,” Capt. Sunday Ebenezer Adebomi said.

He also preached that love and tolerance should live first amongst us above hate and other antisocial vices.

“In our collective efforts to national building and as patriotic citizens, we must all rise with love and tolerance as a tool above our perceived differences which pit brothers and sisters against themselves.”

The Ekiti State Emergency Management Agency (EKSEMA) chairman tasked Nigerians to use the occasion of Eid to pray for the safety and wellbeing of the Armed Forces and other security personnel ensuring the safety of citizens.

He also used the ample opportunity to seek the continuous prayers and support of Nigerians for The unity, SECURITY and prosperity of Nigeria and Nigerians.

As Muslim faithful mark the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, Ekiti State Governor-Elect, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, has congratulated Ekiti Muslims and urged Nigerians to intensify prayers and support for unity and peace in the country.

 Oyebanji in his goodwill messsge, said Eid-el-Kabir offers Muslims the opportunity to exemplify the virtues of piety, honesty, charity and generosity according to the life of Prophet Ibrahim and teachings of Prophet Muhammad.

He said the current spate of insecurity in parts of the country calls urgent prayers for divine intervention. He called on Muslims to use the opportunity of the festive period to pray for everlasting peace in the country.   

“Prophet Ibrahim, in whose honour Eid-el-Kabir became an annual celebration was known and reverred for his   humility and faithfulness. He prayed and God answered him, the same God is still there to answer our prayer. I urge Nigerians to love one another and pray for peace as we celebrate. 

The Governor- elect who said safety of lives and property in all parts of Ekiti State would be accorded top priority in his government, also called for prayers for the incoming administration.
