Oyebanji Ends Two-Week Leave, Set to Resume Office Monday.
By Olamide Akinwumi

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, will on Monday, November 24, 2025, resume official duties after completing his statutory two-week annual leave.

Oyebanji had proceeded on leave on November 9 but returned to the state ahead of schedule on November 19 following security incidents recorded in some neighbouring states. Upon his return, the governor met with select heads of security agencies in Ekiti on November 20 to review the security situation and strengthen existing measures across the state.

The two-week break is the governor’s first official leave since he assumed office on October 16, 2022.

Meanwhile, Oyebanji has congratulated members of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) on the successful hosting of their 21st annual conference held recently in Abuja. He also welcomed the President and other national executives of the Guild to Ekiti State for their Standing Committee Meeting scheduled to hold at the Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort, Ikogosi-Ekiti, from November 23 to 24, 2025.

The governor’s media adviser, Olayinka Oyebode, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, November 23, 2025.
