He said President Tinubu's 72nd birthday offers an opportunity to celebrate a life that is dedicated to the service of fatherland and humanity in general. This, he said, is in addition to thanking God for giving Nigeria a man of courage as its leader at a critical time like this.

Governor Oyebanji described President Tinubu as an uncommon statesman who sacrificed his all by opting to be an opposition leader at the height of military dictatorship in the country and fighting with other patriotic leaders to ensure the restoration of democracy to Nigeria.

He described the nation's leader as "the most prepared President ever" by his evolution as a freedom fighter, a pro-democracy activist, a legislator, a governor and an opposition leader who transited to the Presidency to crown a stellar political career.

Hailing he President’s decision not to mark his birthday with any form of celebration this year in view of the mood of the nation, Governor Oyebanji said the President’s action is a reflection of his selflessness and sensitivity as a true leader of the people.

Governor Oyebanji assured President Tinubu that the government and people of Ekiti State would continue to support his administration even as they wish him a happy birthday and more years of bliss and impact.

“On behalf of the Government and good people of Ekiti State, the Land of Honour, I wish our dear President and leader a happy birthday and pray that the years ahead be lived in good health and crowned with greater impact.”, the Governor added.

Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji has lauded National Assembly members representing the state for their demonstrated commitment to development within the state through constituency projects aimed at addressing critical needs of the people and advancing livelihoods of the citizens.

Governor Oyebanji gave the commendation in Ado- Ekiti on Tuesday when he joined the Senator representing Ekiti Central Senatorial District and Leader of Senate, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele on a tour of his constituency projects across the local government areas in the senatorial District.

The Governor said he is delighted at the remarkable partnership between the state government and National Assembly members, which according to him is now yielding positive results for the people of the state.

Governor Oyebanji, who explained that the projects are testimonials to what is possible when there is unity of purpose between the Executive and the legislative arms of government, commended Senator Bamidele’s commitment to grassroots development, dedication to service, and his relentless pursuit of initiatives that directly impact the people.

While expressing his gratitude to Senator Bamidele, the Governor lauded the Senate Leader’s proactive approach to governance and his ability to mobilize resources to effectively implement impactful projects that uplift the socio-economic status of the people.

The Governor reiterated his administration’s support for the projects and pledged continued collaboration with National Assembly members to advance sustainable development in the state, adding that he was confident that with the Senator’s visionary leadership and collective efforts of all stakeholders, Ekiti would continue to experience greater strides in development and prosperity.

“I am excited, happy and extremely grateful to God for this partnership that is working in the interest of Ekiti people, like the Senate Leader said, this is what we have when there is unity of purpose and collective ownership of vision to develop the state. A vision to run with the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President, and this tells me that I need to dig deeper in ensuring that there is continuous unity among the stakeholders in the National Assembly, “ the Governor said

Earlier in his remarks, Senator Bamidele who thanked the Governor for his support and cooporation in realizing various development projects, said the purpose of the inspection is to asses the progress and impact of the projects across his constituency.

The Senate Leader, while emphasizing the significance of teamwork between the executive and legislative arms in driving positive change and progress in the state, restated his commitment to representing the interests of Ekiti people and working closely with the state government to address the people’s needs.

Senator Bamidele attributed various development projects in the state to purposeful and exemplary leadership provided by the Governor and assured the people that he will continue to work tirelessly to ensure advancement of the interest of the people and promote development within the state.

“Part of the reason why this is going on is because am at peace with myself, am at peace with the state government and I don’t have any reason to want to isolate myself from what the state government is doing and we thank God Almighty”. He asserted.

Projects inspected included, EKSU internal roads and the newly built medical student’s hostels, newly built state Library in Ado Ekiti, Mini stadium and sport complex in Erijiyam Ekiti, Intensive Care Unit and Amenities Center at Aramoko General Hospital, Ijero township road, newly built Iyin Ekiti General Hospital Intensive care Unit and Amenities Center, Iyin – Ilawe road, among others.

In a show of solidarity and appreciation, the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, lauded the timely delivery of constituency projects by the 10th Senate Leader, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, urging the people of Ekiti to keep him in their prayers. The commendation came during an inspection tour of Bamidele's constituency projects across the Ekiti Central Senatorial District, where both leaders emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration in driving development initiatives.

Addressing the gathering at the newly built hostels for medical students of the Ekiti State University (EKSU) as part of his constituency projects, the Senate Leader said the project was made possible because the University has alumni that are very focused, dynamic and purposeful.

According to Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, “the entire leadership of the alumni association under the watch of their Global President has been working very closely with us and other stakeholders in the State, and it’s always about EKSU.

Charging the Governor, Bamidele said having spent his formative and foundation years in the institution and as the Governor of Ekiti State, he said he’s proud that Governor Oyebanji is taking his time to place his God’s given position at the disposal of the University.

In his own remarks, Oyebanji explained that he has heard about the hostels being built for the EKSU medical students and that he was glad that he’s there to see the wonders that Senator Bamidele is doing.

In his word, “We have devoted the whole of today for project supervision across the Senatorial District. We are just starting with this place, once we leave here, we are going to Efon, Ekiti West, Ijero before coming back to Ado-Ekiti.

“What this tells me is that the people stand to gain tremendously when there’s alignment of vision and unity of purpose, and when there’s love among us. The Senator has done tremendously well in ensuring that the National budget aligns with the priorities”.

Commending the Senate Leader, the Governor stressed, “I can only be grateful to you because if you choose not to do this here, it’s your project, nobody can question you. But you have shown commitment and love towards your constituents. I have told you that if you have projects that you want to take to other parts of the State as long is not going to violate extant rules and regulations, do it and let people read meaning to it. I don’t care about that. I want Ekiti State to be developed.

“Ekiti belongs to all of us. If there’s any local government you are led to assist, assist them. I will always support the university and see what we can do. As a government, we are going to make a tremendous mark here. I have told someone to come and see what we can engage with and see what we can give as a legacy in the university because when I leave government, I still want to be part of the alumni association.

“We are also talking to the Federal Government on Ijan-ABUAD- Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti road. The Senate Leader has graciously put it in the National budget the reconstruction of the road and the Minister of works promised to come this weekend to have a look at the road. There are also other projects that he has put in the budget. He has been assisting me to ensure that we get good projects awarded”. Oyebanji explained.

Speaking on the mini stadium to be built at Ekameta Local Council Development Area of Ekiti State, MOB said there wasn’t any issue on where the project was sited. Adding that the mini stadium would be named Ekameta mini stadium because three communities; Erijinyan, Ikogosi and Ipole/Iloro Ekiti, all in Ekameta Local Council Development Area of the State are in charge.

“We had to cross check with the Governor to know where to fix it in the budget and the Governor said wherever it is sited in Ekameta is okay by him. Getting here, I can see that it is sited between the boundary of Ikogosi and Erijinyan which is also a stone throw to Ipole/Iloro-Ekiti.

“Another project that we brought at the same time is Intensive Care Unit and Amenity Centre which is sited at Aramoko-Ekiti. ICU is usually sited closely to General Hospital. God, Who has started it with us will help us to complete it and it won’t be an abandoned project in Jesus name”, the Senator prayed.

“By the special grace of God, very soon we will all gather here again the same way we gathered today. The next time you will see me is when we will be commissioning the project but the Governor would be coming for supervision occasionally and whenever the Governor couldn’t come, the SA to the Governor on Political Matters, High Chief Jide Awe would be giving an update”, Bamidele submitted.
