BRIG. GEN (RTD) Lekan Adeniran Akogun  Felicitates With the Osun State Muslim's and Nigeria at Large, Urges Aspirants to Acquaint the People Of Osun About the Achievements Of Governor Gboyega Oyetola

The leading candidate in the Osun West, senatorial district come 2023 general election, Brig. Gen. (RTD) Lekan Adeniran Akogun has urged the aspirants who are interested in one position or the other in 2023 general election to kindly enlighten the people of Osun about the massive development and positive impact which the administration of Alh. Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola has ushered into the state of Osun within three and half years in governance.

The General made this statement in Iwo, Osun State and make available to the press in Osogbo through his media team while hosting some of the leaders and faithful loyal party members who are in support of his senatorial ambition. 

Akogun Lekan Adeniran said, "I truly  appreciate your love and support for my political ambition and I fervently assure you that I will answer your call to assiduously serve the people of Osun West Senatorial District."

He added, "But what is most paramount to me now is how Mr Governor (Oyetola) will be victorious in the coming July 16 governorship election. The reason Mr Governor deserves to be given another overwhelming mandate is to serve the people of the state better and to complete the good work which he has started. No other political parties, can really have the interest of the people at heart, than the All Progressive Party."

He further urged the people of the senatorial district who have not collected his or her PVCs to please do so expeditiously. He said, "Your vote is your strength. Because I believe that 90% of Osun West Senatorial votes are for the go-ahead Oyetola."

However,  he used the opportunity to greet all the Muslims who are celebrating the eld-fitril to put into practice the edifying lessons you have learnt during Ramadan, and allow peace, tranquillity and consuming love to reign during and after the election in the state of Osun.

He said, "I wish to use this unique and special period of Eid El- Fitr celebration to once again, reachout to all our esteemed people of Osun West Senatorial District, and members of our great party across Osun State  always remember Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola on their daily prayers. 

"I also wish all our Muslim clerics, Alfas, Imams, scholars, friends, brothers and sisters, happy  celebrations and many more opportunities to witness such special day like today, in God's love, sound health, joyful moments and service to Osun State, Nigeria and humanity in general".

United Progressive Congress Warns APC Party Leaders against Impositions of Candidates on Party Members

Hon. Fatai Faribido, the Director General of the United Progressive Congress, (UPC).

The Socio Political group which operates under the All Progressive Congress (APC) has expressed its fears over the picking of candidates who will represent the party in upcoming elections in the state come 2023.

In a statement released to the press and jointly signed by the leaders of the group, Hon Fatai Faribido and the publicity secretary of the group, Hon Adebayo Temitope made available to the press pursuant to the Apex meeting of the group, the group acknowledged that this is the season for sundry assorted politicians to express their ambition in one position or the other.

The group however urged the party leaders to be very wary and careful in picking any candidates, who will carry the flags of our great party (APC). This is the time to be circumspect.

Hon Temitope Adebayo Balogun pointed out that some politicians are not authentic grass roots politicians. He said, “Their ilk have no electoral value when it comes to elections but are ready to use the goodwill of Mr Governor and the structure of All Progressive Congress to attain power, and alas, later abandon the masses and party members.”

The Group nevertheless advised the party to give every candidate a free hand to express their manifestos to the party members and to allow open primaries for every candidate to test his or her electoral value within the party members.

The Group also appreciated Governor Gboyega Oyetola for the opportunity given to the party members to select their representatives from the wards.

“Indeed the present system of Caretaker in the Local Government has given an opportunity for the party to select their counsellors in different wards across the state. This augments and consolidates democracy as it were”.

UPC now assured the Governor Gboyega Oyetola and the Chairman of the party, Prince Gboyega Famodun that, the group is ready to work with over 6000 members across the state to canvas for the second terms ambitions of Governor Oyetola and make sure that come July 16 election, the party triumphally comes out with flying colours.

Oyetola Is The Candidate To Beat In Governorship Election, Says Former Chairman Aspirant, Odo-Otin North.

The former Personal Assistant to the late Sen Ayo Fasanmi, Hon Adebayo Temitope Balogun has described the Governor of State of Osun, Alhaji Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola as a "great, adroit manager" who has been managing the economy of the state assiduously without borrowing.

Hon Adebayo Temitope said, "Ineluctably, Gboyega Oyetola has seen the duty of governance as a sacrosanct call to the people of the state for service. He is a lover of the masses, who is governing the state with the wisdom and fear of God."

Hon Temitope now advised the opposition and said Governor Adegboyega Oyetola is the candidate to beat in the forthcoming election. "Indeed the state of Osun is very difficult to govern for inexperienced politicians. One needs savvy, vision, and enterprise as epitomised by Oyetola,"

Hon. Adebayo added in a press release that, "Oyetola is a listening Governor who is always hearkening to the voice of the people in the state before taking action. The three and half years of Oyetola in the saddle has brought tremendous development to the state in terms of infrastructure, economic development, socio intervention, monthly food distribution to ordinary impecunious citizens and access to medical Care by introducing O'HIS for the benefit of the less privileged in the state. There has been wholesome full payment of workers in the state without waiting for federal allocation before settling the workers in the state."

Earlier in his speech, Hon Temitope has urged the people of Osun to be wary of Ghana must go politicians who always come around or make themselves available anytime that elections are around the corner and he advised them to use their votes to compensate Governor Gboyega Oyetola in the July 16 Governorship election.

He said, "I appeal to the people of the state not to sell their votes for those who have no single genuine plan for the state. I can assure the people of Osun including workers in the state that the second time of Oyetola will be even more fruitful as regards the dividends of Democracy, he explained".

President Muhammadu Buhari, has described Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji as an honest man who have been involved in the progressive, and smoothly administering of the state affairs from inception.

President Buhari who disclosed this in the State House on Friday at Abuja during the presentation of the party's flags to Mr Abiodun Oyebanji, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the gubernatorial election, scheduled for June 18, 2022.

He said, "You have served Ekiti State in many capacities, including as Chief of Staff, Commissioner, and Secretary to the State Government. Being Governor will just be continuity of service. I honestly wish you the best of luck."

The candidate was led to the President by National Chairman of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the National Secretary, Senator Iyiola Omisore, and Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State.
