AYEDUN QUARTER REJOICES AS OLUWATUYI DELIVERS LIFE-SAVING BOREHOLE PROJECT.
By Ola Asubiojo.

Residents of Ayedun Quarter in Awo Ekiti are celebrating a new era of relief and hope following the completion of a modern borehole project facilitated by the Executive Chairman of Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government, Honourable Oluwatuyi Oluwagbenga.

For many years, the community grappled with inadequate access to clean and safe water. Women, children, and the elderly were often compelled to travel long distances daily in search of potable water for drinking, cooking, bathing, washing, and other household needs.

The situation not only imposed severe physical hardship but also exposed residents to the risks of waterborne diseases and poor sanitation.

Today, that challenge has become a thing of the past;;
In a remarkable demonstration of responsive and people-centred leadership, Honourable Oluwatuyi, alongside his dedicated and result-oriented team, has fulfilled a long-standing aspiration of the people through the drilling of a functional borehole that now provides residents with access to clean, safe, and hygienic water.

The project reflects the Chairman's commitment to grassroots development and his determination to improve the living standards of people across the Local Government Area.

Speaking on the significance of the project, Honourable Oluwatuyi described access to clean water as one of the most basic necessities of life, noting that, "He who gives water gives life."

According to him, the provision of clean water will help to:::
Promote healthy living and prevent waterborne diseases.
   Improve sanitation and environmental hygiene.
Support proper nutrition and food preparation.
Enhance personal hygiene and overall well-being.
Reduce the stress and time spent searching for water.
The Chairman further reaffirmed his administration's commitment to initiating and executing impactful projects that directly address the needs and aspirations of the people.

The atmosphere in Ayedun Quarter was filled with excitement, gratitude, and celebration as residents gathered to witness the successful drilling of the borehole. Many described the project as a dream fulfilled, recalling how similar promises made by previous administrations never materialized.

Expressing their appreciation, community members commended Honourable Oluwatuyi and his team for transforming years of expectations into a tangible reality. They described the borehole as more than a water project, but a symbol of hope, fulfilment, and evidence that sincere and compassionate leadership can positively transform lives.

The residents also pledged their continued support for the administration and its developmental agenda, They further acknowledged the contributions of the Vice Chairman, Honourable Alade Remi Babatunde; the Secretary to the Local Government, Dr. Honourable Olatunji Sule; and other political stakeholders whose collective efforts continue to drive grassroots development within the council area.

As clean water now flows freely through Ayedun Quarter, so too does renewed hope for a healthier, safer, and more prosperous future.

For the people of Ayedun Quarter, this borehole is far more than an infrastructure project—it is a lifeline, a blessing, and a lasting legacy of responsive governance.
