Ekiti fortunate to have Oyebanji as governor, says oldest Imam.
...as Ijero-Ekiti, Ikole-Ekiti Muslims receive Oyebanji's special Ramadan support.
The Chief Imam of Ijero Central Mosque, Alhaji Abdullateef Abubakar has said the people of Ekiti State are fortunate to have Biodun Oyebanji as governor of the state.
He stated this on Friday at Ijero Central Mosque during the continuation of Governor Oyebanji's Special Ramadan Outreach for Muslim faithful across the state.
The oldest Imam in the state hailed the governor's impactful leadership across the state, particularly in Ijero-Ekiti noting that he has fulfilled his campaign promises to the people of Ijero-Ekiti.
According to him, "God plays a significant role in leadership and the affairs of men. I vividly remember when BAO sought to contest for the position of Governor.
"We all gathered at the residence of the Chief Imam in Ado, and those present can testify that Mr. Governor was asked to express his wish. In unison, we affirmed it, and today, that wish has been fulfilled for the benefit of all.
"I, the Chief Imam of Ijero, alongside the Chief Imam of Ado-Ekiti proudly acknowledge Governor Oyebanji as our son. He will never falter, nor will he make errors.
"When light comes to Ijero, it is through Oyebanji's efforts. To crown it all, our College of Health Sciences and Technology has been upgraded to a polytechnic, thanks to our development-oriented Governor. Ijero is fortunate, and Mr. Governor will never fail."
Other beneficiaries of the governor's kind gesture appreciated him for extending love and care to them while pledging their support to his administration beyond 2026.
The special Ramadan outreach for Muslims in Ijero-Ekiti and Ikole-Ekiti was in continuation of Governor Oyebanji's efforts to extend love and support through the distribution of food items to vulnerable Muslims in the state as they observe the holy month.
