The Director of Foundation Programmes at Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti, Professor Remi Famiwole, has advised students enrolled in the university’s foundation programmes to make the most of the opportunity to prepare for their future academic pursuits.
Speaking during an orientation programme organized for the students, Professor Famiwole emphasized the importance of the initiative, designed to equip candidates who are yet to secure university admission with the necessary academic foundation.
He explained that the foundation programme serves as a preparatory stage for students seeking direct entry admission into the 200 level of the university. According to him, the orientation was aimed at familiarizing students with the university's academic culture and providing them with guidance on achieving success.
"The university is committed to supporting you throughout your academic journey. It is essential that you remain focused and adhere to the institution’s rules and regulations to ensure a successful completion of the programme," he said.
The event also featured presentations from the Directorate's Administrative Secretary and Accountant, who provided insights into administrative procedures and payment guidelines to facilitate a smooth academic exercise.
In a statement signed by the Deputy Registrar and Head of the Directorate of Information & Corporate Affairs, EKSU, Bode Olofinmuagun, the university appreciated Professor Famiwole for his encouragement and the extensive education provided to the students during the session.
