Ekiti First Lady Hails Senator Tinubu For Gifting Ekiti Pupils 50,000 Renewed Hope Exercise Books.

Wife of Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, has hailed the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Remi Tinubu, for donating 50,000 Exercise Books to pupils and students of public schools in the Land of Honour.
The exercise books were gifted to the benefitting children in primary and junior secondary schools under the education component of Senator Tinubu's pet project, the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI).
Performing the symbolic distribution of the exercise books at a ceremony held at the conference hall of her office on Thursday, Dr. Oyebanji hailed Senator Tinubu for her love and concern for children in public schools especially by coming to their aid in their educational aspiration.
Today, I performed the symbolic distribution of 50,000 Exercise Books donated by the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, to pupils and students of public primary and secondary schools in Ekiti State under her Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI).
The gesture was informed by Senator Tinubu's quest to use the education component of her pet project, RHI, to assist children in public schools and provide them with instructional materials which translates to relief for their parents and guardians.
The ceremony was attended by political office holders, education administrators, principals, teachers, religious leaders, parents, guardians and benefitting students and pupils who were all excited with the gifts from the nation's First Lady.
The Ekiti First Lady said the gesture was informed informed the decision of the wife of the President to use her pet project, RHI, to assist children in public schools and provide them with instructional materials which translates to relief for their parents and guardians.
Dr. Oyebanji disclosed that Senator Tinubu recently performed the groundbreaking of the Alternative School for the Girls to give opportunities to pregnant young girls who dropped out of school to continue their education and save their future from being jeopardized.
She also informed the gathering that the President's wife also gave N1 million and a laptop to 36 students representing each of the states of the federation under the RHI as a form of commitment to education without prejudice to the political affiliation of their parents.
She pointed out that both the federal government led by President Bola Tinubu and Ekiti government led by Governor Oyebanji put education on the front burner hence their investment in the sector to make learning accessible to more people.
Dr. Oyebanji, herself a senior academic, stressed that the gesture of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is another gain of continuity and synergy between the APC led governments at state and federal levels which Ekiti is benefitting immensely from.
She added: "These exercise books are more than just stationery; they are the tools that will empower our young minds to explore, learn, and dream. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the mother of the nation, H.E, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her magnanimity and support in sponsoring this noble initiative.
"Her dedication to improving the lives of our children is truly commendable and inspiring. Through her vision, we are paving the way for a brighter future for our nation.
"To our dear children, I urge you to make the most of these resources, study diligently, and strive for excellence. The future of Nigeria lies in your hands, and we believe in your potential to achieve greatness."
Dr. Oyebanji also used the forum to explain that the huge investment in education sector by her husband, Governor Biodun Oyebanji is already yielding positive results and unprecedented transformation.
According to her, the positive turnaround in the sector includes massive renovation of school structures, provision of instructional materials, recruitment and incentives for teachers and reduction of the number of out-of-school children in the state.
She pointed out that the unprecedented transformation of public schools in Ekiti which are now equipped with state-of-the-art facilities have attracted more pupils and have led to the Land of Honour being one of the states with the lowest number of out-of-school children in Nigeria.
Goodwill messages were delivered by stakeholders who all appreciated the good works in the education sector by the federal government and Ekiti State government.
