Army Command Secondary School Admits First Intake of Students in Ekiti State.

The newly established Army Command Secondary School in Ekiti State has officially begun its academic journey by admitting its inaugural class of 185 students into Junior Secondary School (JSS 1).

This exciting development was disclosed by the former Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, through his official Facebook page. Mr. Fayemi expressed his joy, describing it as the culmination of a four-year journey to establish and integrate Ekiti into the list of states with Army Command Secondary Schools.

Mr. Fayemi extended his gratitude to the successive Chiefs of Army Staff, including Lt. General Buratai, Attahiru, and Yahaya, as well as the two Chiefs of Defence Staff (CDS) - Generals Yomi Olonisakin and LEO Irabor, and their respective teams who collaborated with him and the Ekiti State team to achieve this remarkable milestone.

He also commended his successor, Governor Biodun Oyebanji, and his team for their continued efforts in realizing this project. Furthermore, Mr. Fayemi applauded the dedicated team on the ground, led by Commandant Major Anifowoshe, for their outstanding work in making this vision a reality.

The Isan Ekiti community, led by Oba Gabriel Adejuwon, received accolades for their warm hospitality and support, as the school quickly gained popularity and became oversubscribed.

The establishment of the Army Command Secondary School in Ekiti State has sparked enthusiasm and garnered significant interest. Mr. Fayemi expressed hope that military authorities would consider establishing additional schools in the state to accommodate the enthusiastic demand not only from Ekiti but also from neighboring states.

The commencement of the academic session at the school coincides with schools in Ekiti State resuming for the first term of the 2023/2024 academic year. The school's inauguration represents a significant step in providing quality education opportunities for the youth of the state.
