The women wing of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Ekiti State Chapter, otherwise known as Women Commission, has pledged their support for the administration of Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.

Speaking during a courtesy visit to the Wife of the Governor, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji,  in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday, the Chairperson of TUC’s Women Commission, Comrade Olukemi Ogundele said the union members are solidly behind the government of the day and will always make themselves available anytime the First Lady call them out for support.
She said, "We are here for a few reasons; to congratulate you on the victory of your husband at the poll, the inauguration that follows and to also identify and celebrate with you your first birthday  in office. Another reason while we are here is to assure Her Excellency that the entire women in the Trade Union Congress, Ekiti State Council are solidly in support of your husband’s administration and policies of government  for the betterment of the good people and the entire Ekiti women in particular", she stressed.

According to the union leader, the labour has always made themselves relevant at various programs such as, International Day of the Girl Child, international women's day, various programs against indiscipline in the society and different seminars and workshops, both locally and abroad.

She therefore enjoined the present administration to prioritize the welfare of workers in the state for optimal commitment to work.

Responding, Dr. Oyebanji appreciated the team for having the love of the people at heart, which informed  their promise to support the present administration to strengthen development in the state.

"We have a lot to do together in terms of collaborative effort towards having a better Ekiti State. There is a lot of decadence and indiscipline that are needed to be reduced to the barest minimum in our society and we shall not hesitate to engage strategic partners like you in this regard", Dr. Oyebanji added.
