Ajijola Urges Ekiti Central Electorates to Vote APC Candidates for Continuity of Good Governance.
The Executive Director of the South West Development Commission (SWDC), Chief Lateef Ajijola, has urged eligible voters in Ekiti Central Senatorial District to support candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC), including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, National Assembly aspirants and candidates contesting for seats in the Ekiti State House of Assembly, to sustain good governance and accelerate development.
Ajijola, popularly known as Always Standing, expressed confidence in the capacity of Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, Hon. Olusola Fatoba and Rt. Hon. Oladapo Karounwi to provide effective representation and attract meaningful development to Ekiti Central.
Speaking during an interview at his residence, the APC chieftain called on party supporters and residents to rally behind the APC candidates across the various elective positions, stressing the importance of political continuity and effective collaboration among the different levels of government.
He described the APC candidates as individuals capable of advancing the interests of the people through purposeful representation, quality legislation and commitment to shared prosperity.
Ajijola noted that continuity in governance was essential to sustaining ongoing development initiatives, strengthening existing programmes and creating more opportunities for economic growth.
He also urged the electorate to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration, noting that cooperation between the Federal Government, the Ekiti State Government and elected representatives would help attract more federal projects, improve infrastructure and stimulate economic activities.
The SWDC director emphasised the need for voters to elect credible representatives into the National Assembly and Ekiti State House of Assembly, saying effective representation and quality legislation remained critical to addressing the needs of the people.
He cautioned voters against being influenced by temporary inducements and political promises, urging them to consider the long-term interests of their communities when making electoral decisions.
Ajijola called on residents of Ekiti Central to remain united behind the APC and participate actively in the electoral process, expressing optimism that the party's candidates would contribute to sustainable development, improved living standards and greater economic opportunities across the district.
