The first accolade is the Vanguard Newspaper's Best Governor's Award for Good Governance, that will presented today at a prestigious ceremony. This esteemed award recognizes Governor Oyebanji's dedicated implementation of the six pillars of his administration's development agenda, focusing on critical areas such as Human Capital Development, infrastructure, industrialization, and the promotion of Arts, Culture, and Tourism. A delegation from Vanguard, led by Deputy Editor Mr. Adekunle Adekoya, sometime last month formally presented the nomination letter to the Governor in Ado-Ekiti, acknowledging the significant strides the state has made under his leadership.

In a heartfelt response, Governor Oyebanji expressed his gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing that such awards motivate him and his administration to pursue even more ambitious projects. According to the organisers, The event will also honor various dignitaries and industry leaders, including Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu and renowned businessman Aliko Dangote, highlighting the impact of leadership across the energy sector.

Governor Oyebanji commended the ongoing reforms introduced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, attributing these developments to improved funding for states, which has significantly bolstered his government’s developmental projects.
