Ojuawo Calls for Unity at Ojoaduse Day Celebration.

The annual Ojoaduse Day celebration in Ise Ekiti was filled with fun, featuring Alile rendition, dance, and goodwill messages to His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) David Ayodele Adetunji Ajayi, Aweloye II, The Arinjale of Ise Ekiti. Ojoaduse is an anniversary commemorating the formation of Ise Ekiti centuries ago. It holds great significance for every Ise indigene, serving as a reminder to reflect on God's blessings and the historical origins of our community's existence. Hon. AVM Rufus Adeniyi Ojuawo (rtd) representing Ekiti South Federal Constituency 1, in the House of Representatives, emphasized unity and cooperation among Ise Ekiti indigenes. "I call for synergy, love, and unity among us, regardless of occupation or vocation. Our community is as important as our daily bread; we must protect, contribute to, and seek its development at all times. Let's close ranks and support Kabiyesi for the growth of Ise Ekiti."

Chief Jola Ogundare, Chairman of Ojoaduse Day 2024 and Atiba of Ise Ekiti, said Ojoaduse has become a premier celebration for Omo Akinluaduse both at home and abroad. According to him, ‘It's an avenue to celebrate with our Kabiyesi, and we must rally around him morally and financially for a fruitful event. I urge everyone to see Ojoaduse as a day of joy and annual homage to our Kabiyesi. We thank God for sparing our lives, growth, and development in our community; we have much to thank God for, and we're better in every sense.’

Also, Senator (Chief) Yemi Adaramodu, the Omo Akin of Ise Ekiti, represented by his Senior Legislative Assistant, Mr. Ayo Adaramodu, urged the people of Ise Ekiti to further explore their rich culture. ‘It’s good to remember and celebrate our anniversary, but it’s even more important to showcase our rich culture and values to the world. Kabiyesi, as your son and a title holder in Ise Ekiti, I pledge to continue playing my role.’

In his remarks, Oba Dr. Adetunji Ajayi, Arinjale of Ise Ekiti, expressed gratitude to his people and commended Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji's purposeful leadership and inclusive government, which has brought unity to Ekiti State. 'Thank you for the ongoing infrastructure development; we pray for your success and assure you of Ise-Ekiti's support now and beyond. I’d like to take this opportunity to encourage our youth to explore opportunities within our community, specifically in agricultural practices and vocational jobs, rather than seeking menial jobs abroad. Our country’s agricultural revolution is yielding impressive results, surpassing expectations. Planting food crops for just one season will amaze you with the potential income. I urge you to leverage the Ekiti government’s investments in agriculture and the initiatives led by Hon. Ojuawo in the agricultural empowerment program.’ He then prayed and released blessings to his people home and abroad as usual.

Elder Kunle Falope, Chairman of the Ojoaduse Planning Committee, brought the ceremony to a close with a heartfelt vote of thanks. He extended sincere appreciation to all distinguished guests, government officials, traditional leaders, and the wonderful people of Ise Ekiti for their massive turnout in celebration of Ojoaduse Day 2024.
