IVLP Alumni Celebrate National Tailor’s Day, Engages Young Entrepreneurs in Ekiti.



National Tailor’s Day, celebrated annually on the first Wednesday of June, was observed this year on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. During the celebration, Adeola visited several tailors and seamstresses, emphasizing their vital role in society and educating them on the importance of stress management and maintaining a balanced lifestyle. She encouraged them to enhance their skills through masterclasses, seminars, and workshops to keep up with evolving fashion trends. Adeola highlighted that improving their skillset would help address the “what I ordered vs. what I got” syndrome and boost customer confidence in their services.

The celebrations continued on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, with SEAMS-Treasure Initiative hosting the first event in its Entrepreneurs Engagement series, themed “Business Development Strategies.” Held at the EKICCIMA Hall, Fountain Hotel Premises, Ado-Ekiti, the event featured prominent attendees, including the Director General of EKICCIMA, Mr. Femi Fabiyi, and the Ekiti State Chapter Coordinator of NACCIMA Youth Entrepreneurs, Mr. Adedayo Ige.



Mr. Fabiyi praised Adeola for her initiative, noting the timeliness of the program amid the country's challenging socioeconomic situation. He emphasized the crucial role of young entrepreneurs in economic recovery and urged them to collaborate to build a strong economy. Mr. Ige spoke on value-addition strategies, stressing the importance of creating exceptional products to attract customers in a competitive market.




In her welcome address, Adeola introduced the SEAMS-Treasure Initiative, explaining that SEAMS stands for Socio-economic, Empowerment, Academics, and their interaction Management in Society. She described the non-profit organization as one born out of a love for humanity and a belief that society improves when individuals support one another. The core operational areas of SEAMS include educational outreach, entrepreneurs engagement, and empowerment programs.

Adeola discussed branding and trust-building, emphasizing that customer confidence is crucial for business success. To support budding entrepreneurs, she offered a four-week free training in fashion designing to two interested participants.

The maiden edition of the Entrepreneurs Engagement concluded with the presentation of gifts to raffle winners and souvenirs to all participants, marking a successful start to what promises to be an impactful series of engagements for young entrepreneurs in Ekiti State.
