The meeting which was presided over by the National Convener, Omoluabi Jayeola Afolabi witnessed the online presence  of members from various locations within the country. At the meeting critical issues were tabled for discussion. Of most concern to distinguished members is the state of the nation which begs for attention from all stakeholders especially the political class who have been saddled with the responsibility of providing leadership for the  country we all call our own. Critical issues of concern include
1. Hike in the pump price of PMS and other petroleum by- products
2.Prolonged ASUU Nationwide Strike
3. The death of Miss Deborah Samuel, Student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto.

1.Hike in the pump price of PMS:
On the issue of hike in the pump price of PMS, AGO and other petroleum by-products which has been the case across various states in the country as at the time of the last meeting of the group in March. The Group observed that the pump price of PMS has reduced moderately across the country as against the #250, #230 or #190 it was sold in almost all the filling stations across the country except for BOVAS, RANO and a few other independent oil marketers who have been consistent in selling as low as #165.00.
However, the Group pray that the price of petrol and other by-products  finally return to normalcy as soon as possible following the economic hardship Nigerians are currently being subjected to in recent times.

2. ASUU- FG Prolonged Strike
The  ongoing  negotiation between ASUU and FG have been described to be taking too much time at the detriment of students and research which the universities are expected to be actively engaged in at this age and time when universities in developed countries are burning the candle day and night to come up with cutting edge researches and innovations. The Group expressed worry  as members observed that the nationwide strike unfortunately is still on despite several appeal to government by stakeholders. Omoluabi Team Alliance expressed dissatisfaction at the attitude of government to education which is the right of every child. Members pointed out that the recent action of students through the directive of NANS is a reaction expected from students since they are the one affected the most. The The Group however use the opportunity to appeal passionately to Federal Government to do the needful as soon as possible to avert the possibility of breakdown of law and and other with the possibility of crises between student populace and government officials especially now that political parties are preparing for their primaries on or before June 3rd, 2022.

3. Death of Deborah Samuel:
Omoluabi Team Alliance will not hide its reactions to the recent killing of one Samuel Deborah, a student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto by a mob of identified moslem fanatics and extremist who unfortunately were reported to be students and colleagues of the deceased. Omoluabi Team Alliance is of the opinion that justice be served on students who led and participated in such heinous act. Such students or persons should be rebuked, punished, black listed, studentship cancelled and made to face the law. The group, Omoluabi Team Alliance however  condole with the parents,  family members and friends of the deceased. While all Nigerians irrespective of ethnic and religious background should condemn such animalistic act in a 21st century. The Group also demand that the Government of Sokoto State and the Federal Government by extension deploy security agencies to the street of Sokoto to immediately protect the lives and properties of Christians residing and doing their lawful business in a community known to be the  seat of caliphate.
