PRESIDENT TINUBU APPROVES CONSTRUCTION OF ITAWURE –ARAMOKO-ADO AND ARAMOKO-IJERO-IDO-IFAKI ROADS.

PRESIDENT TINUBU APPROVES CONSTRUCTION OF ITAWURE –ARAMOKO-ADO AND ARAMOKO-IJERO-IDO-IFAKI ROADS.

The President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has approved the inclusion of Itawure-Aramoko-Ado Ekiti  and Aramoko-Ijero-Ifaki Ekiti roads construction in the 2026 budget of the Federal Government.

A letter to this effect has since been forwarded from the Office of the President to the Honourable Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi. The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Oyebanji was also copied.

The development was sequel to the visit of Governor Biodun Oyebanji and the Senate Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, to President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Sunday, November 9th, 2025;  where issues concerning the condition of federal roads in the State were discussed.

There has been some public outcry and deliberate misinformation over the deplorable condition of some Federal roads in the State, particularly the Itawure-Aramoko-Ado road.

The President Tinubu-led Federal Government has awarded three of such roads in the state and contractors have been mobilised to site, while the Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji administration has also constructed one of them- the Ado-Iworoko-Ifaki road; in addition to dozens of other inter-city and intra-city road projects it has embarked on in the last three years.

When constructed, the two newly approved roads will further ease traveling, enhance connectivity across different parts of the country, boost commercial activities and open up the state to greater economic opportunities and development in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President and the Shared Prosperity agenda of the Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji Administration.

Governor Oyebanji, on behalf of Ekiti people, is thankful to President Tinubu for his strategic intervention in the socioeconomic and infrastructure development of Ekiti State, as well as other support the President has provided for the State.

The Government of Ekiti State, under the leadership of Governor Oyebanji is committed to the welfare and wellbeing of the citizens of the State and would continue to collaborate with the Federal Government, institutions, private sector players and development agencies in its development efforts.

Ayo Opon and the Art of Strategic Leadership: Reflections on Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji's Style.

Ayo Opon and the Art of Strategic Leadership: Reflections on Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji's Style.

In the heart of Yoruba tradition lies the game of Ayo Opon, a strategic board game that demands foresight, calculation, and an understanding of balance. Much like the thoughtful moves in Ayo Opon, where players anticipate outcomes, balance resources, and aim to outmaneuver while safeguarding their position, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji's approach to leading Ekiti State echoes similar principles of strategic leadership, inclusiveness, and progress-focused governance.

Strategic Thinking in Ayo Opon and Governance.
In Ayo Opon, each move is a calculated step towards capturing opportunities while mitigating risks. Governor Oyebanji's leadership reflects this strategic mindset. He has approached Ekiti's development with clear themes – focusing on economic transformation, enhancing education, improving infrastructure, and promoting social cohesion. Like a player contemplating their next move in Ayo, the Governor assesses Ekiti's strengths, addresses challenges, and charts a path that maximizes the state's potential for growth.

For instance, initiatives like _"Ekiti Agribusiness"_ aim to boost agriculture, while tech-enabled schools reflect his focus on future-ready education. These are moves anticipating Ekiti's broader advantage.

Inclusiveness: Gathering Seeds from All Pits.
In Ayo Opon, players gather "seeds" from various pits, strategically distributing them to advance their game. Governor Oyebanji's governing style emphasizes inclusiveness, engaging various stakeholders – from traditional leaders, youth, women, business leaders, to the diaspora community – ensuring that Ekiti's progress benefits from diverse insights and participation. This inclusive approach ensures that no "pit" or segment of Ekiti society is left behind; it's about harnessing collective wisdom to drive the state's agenda.

Foresight and Anticipation
A skilled Ayo player thinks several moves ahead, anticipating the opponent's strategy and preparing counter-moves. Governor Oyebanji demonstrates similar foresight in governance. Securing Ekiti's future through initiatives in agriculture, technology adoption in education, and infrastructure development reflects a leader who is not just reacting to present needs but is positioning Ekiti for sustainable growth, thinking ahead to harvest future benefits.

Balancing Progress and Careful Moves.
Ayo Opon is a balance of offense (capturing seeds) and defense (protecting one's pits). In governance, Governor Oyebanji balances Ekiti's developmental aspirations with careful consideration of the people's needs, aiming for progress that is sustainable and beneficial to all communities. His focus on creating jobs for the youth (via programs like skill acquisition drives), improving healthcare (Ekiti Health initiatives), and boosting economic activities shows a leader balancing various priorities to ensure Ekiti moves forward cohesely.

The Endgame: Progress for Ekiti.
The ultimate aim in Ayo Opon is to accumulate more seeds, symbolizing advantage and progress. For Governor Oyebanji, the "endgame" is Ekiti's advancement – making the state a model of development, peace, and prosperity in Nigeria. With each strategic initiative, he plays a thoughtful "move" towards positioning Ekiti for greater heights, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring the benefits of governance touch the lives of Ekiti people.

In Conclusion:
Just as Ayo Opon is a game of strategy, foresight, and balance, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji's leadership style embodies these qualities, applying them to steer Ekiti State towards inclusive growth and development. Like a master player of Ayo, he navigates the complexities of governance with a focus on progress, leveraging the strengths of Ekiti's people and resources. May Ekiti State continue to "win" in its developmental game under his thoughtful leadership. May the strategic moves of Governor Oyebanji continue to bring prosperity to Ekiti, reflecting the best outcomes of thoughtful governance, much like the satisfying endgame of a well-played Ayo Opon.

SENATOR ADARAMODU’S BILL FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE INNOVATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION CENTRE IN OMUO-EKITI SCALES SECOND READING IN THE SENATE.

The Nigerian Senate on 11th November, 2025 considered and passed for Second Reading a bill sponsored by Senator Yemi Adaramodu, representing Ekiti South Senatorial District, seeking the establishment of the Artificial Intelligence Innovation and Communication Technology Solution Center in Omuo-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

The bill, which aims to institutionalize a robust framework for digital transformation, capacity building, and technology-driven research, has now been referred to the relevant Senate Committee for further legislative action and public hearing.

In his lead debate, Senator Adaramodu highlighted the strategic importance of the proposed center in advancing national development through artificial intelligence, digital literacy, and ICT-driven innovation. He explained that the initiative would serve as a hub for youth empowerment, research collaboration, and the incubation of technology solutions relevant to Nigeria’s socio-economic growth.

“The establishment of this center will not only promote digital innovation and research but will also create new employment opportunities and nurture a generation of technologically skilled Nigerian youths,” Adaramodu emphasized.

The lawmaker further noted that Omuo-Ekiti, being a fast-growing educational and economic community in Ekiti South Senatorial District, provides a suitable environment for hosting such a strategic institution that aligns with the Federal Government’s digital economy and innovation agenda.

With the bill now advancing to the public hearing stage, stakeholders from academia, industry, and youth development sectors are expected to contribute their perspectives toward fine-tuning the proposed legislation before its eventual passage.

Ondo APC Will Not Be Divided by Lies: Exposing the Falsehoods of the So-Called “Asiwaju Media Team”.

Ondo APC Will Not Be Divided by Lies: Exposing the Falsehoods of the So-Called “Asiwaju Media Team”.

The attention of the BTO Ambassadors, a coalition of progressive youths and stakeholders across Ondo State, has been drawn to a malicious publication titled “Ondo State Rejects Deceitful Loyalty: Exposing the Scandals Surrounding Bunmi Tunji-Ojo and His Defenders.”

The faceless authors of this propaganda, hiding under the name “Asiwaju Media Team,” have once again displayed their desperation to discredit genuine progressives and sow seeds of discord within the All Progressives Congress (APC) family in Ondo State.

We, the BTO Ambassadors, categorically condemn this shameful and baseless attempt to tarnish the impeccable image of Hon. (Dr.) Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Honourable Minister of Interior, and other respected leaders of the progressive family in our state.

Asiwaju Media Team: Agents of Division and Falsehood

It is an open secret in Ondo State that the so-called Asiwaju Media Team has become a hub for deceit, blackmail, and political mischief. Their recent publication is yet another example of a desperate bid to remain relevant through lies and propaganda.

Their continuous habit of fabricating slanderous materials against respected figures reveals their lack of moral compass and political maturity. They have become willing tools of those who are uncomfortable with the rising influence, integrity, and performance of Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, both at home and nationally.

No amount of falsehood will change the fact that this so-called media team thrives on propaganda, deceit, and manipulation to attack genuine party leaders.

Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo’s Record Speaks for Itself
Hon. (Dr.) Bunmi Tunji-Ojo (BTO) remains one of Nigeria’s most result-oriented and transparent public officers. His leadership at the Ministry of Interior has brought unprecedented reforms — simplifying passport processes, enhancing border management, and restoring dignity to the ministry.

The concocted stories about his NYSC record are not only false but recycled propaganda long debunked. The NYSC has never issued any official statement indicting or questioning BTO’s credentials. These malicious claims are products of idle minds bent on destroying what they cannot build.

BTO’s commitment to service and his loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the APC remain unwavering. His competence, brilliance, and integrity are widely acknowledged across party lines.

A Clear Agenda to Divide the APC
The so-called Asiwaju Media Team is an unregistered, illegal propaganda outfit formed by political jobbers who aim to cause confusion and crisis within the APC. Their mission is to create unnecessary tension between Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, both of whom enjoy mutual respect and cooperation in the service of Ondo State.

The BTO Ambassadors warn these mischievous elements to desist from dragging the name of President Bola Tinubu or his progressive ideology into their dirty politics. The APC in Ondo State remains united under the leadership of Governor Aiyedatiwa and committed to supporting all federal appointees, including BTO, in delivering dividends of democracy to the people.

Facts Over Fabrications
There is no NYSC indictment or official controversy concerning Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo.

He served legally and honorably as a Member of the House of Representatives (2019–2023).

His current ministerial appointment is based on merit, competence, and integrity.

The so-called “Asiwaju Media Team” is not recognized by the APC at any level — ward, local government, or state.

All allegations in their publication are baseless, unsubstantiated, and politically motivated.

Our Position
The BTO Ambassadors remain steadfast in defending the truth, unity, and progress of the APC in Ondo State. We will not allow a group of frustrated opportunists to destroy the hard-earned image of our leaders or derail the developmental focus of our party.

We call on all APC faithful and the general public to disregard the lies being spread by the Asiwaju Media Team and their cohorts. The people of Ondo State know their true leaders — men and women of character, integrity, and proven capacity like Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo.

In Conclusion
Ondo State is a land of honour and integrity.
The truth will always stand tall above the noise of liars.
No amount of blackmail or propaganda can diminish the shining light of progress that Bunmi Tunji-Ojo represents for our state and nation.

Oyebanji Upgrades Ilupeju/Itapa General Hospital to Modern Healthcare Hub.

Oyebanji Upgrades Ilupeju/Itapa General Hospital to Modern Healthcare Hub.
By Olamide Akinwumi

In a major boost to healthcare delivery in Ekiti State, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has transformed the Ilupeju/Itapa General Hospital into a modern medical facility equipped to meet the needs of residents in Ilupeju, Itapa, Ijelu, Omu, and surrounding communities.

Originally established in 1991, the hospital had over the years struggled with dilapidated infrastructure and inadequate facilities. However, following the recent comprehensive rehabilitation and upgrade initiated by the Oyebanji-led administration, the hospital now stands as a beacon of renewed hope for thousands of residents in the area.

The revamped facility now boasts upgraded wards, a functional laboratory, a well-equipped maternity section, modern diagnostic tools, and improved staff quarters—all aimed at providing quality healthcare services closer to the people.

Speaking during an inspection visit, Governor Oyebanji reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to equitable healthcare access across all parts of Ekiti State. He noted that the upgrade aligns with his broader vision to ensure that no community is left behind in the state’s development agenda.

“Healthcare is one of the pillars of our development plan. We want every Ekiti citizen—whether in the city or the rural area—to have access to quality and affordable medical care,” Oyebanji said.

Residents of the benefiting communities have expressed gratitude to the governor for what they described as “a breath of fresh air” in public healthcare delivery, noting that pregnant women, children, and the elderly no longer have to travel long distances for medical attention.

The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Oyebanji Filani, described the transformation as part of ongoing efforts to reposition primary and secondary healthcare institutions across the state, noting that similar projects are being executed in other local government areas.

With the completion of the Ilupeju/Itapa General Hospital upgrade, Ekiti State continues to consolidate its position as one of the few subnational governments in Nigeria prioritising people-oriented healthcare reforms under the Oyebanji administration.
