In a show of solidarity and commitment to students welfare, Comrade Ogunsanya Dotun, the President of Ekiti State University's Students Union, and his colleague from Federal University OYE-Ekiti, Comrade Ajayi Dotun Emmanuel, paid a congratulatory visit to Honorable Odebunmi Idowu (ID.ALUTA) the Chairman of the Sports Committee in the Ekiti State House of Assembly.

During the meeting held at Hon. Odebunmi's office in Ado-Ekiti, the Students  Union Presidents expressed their gratitude for the warm reception and engaged in a progressive discussion about the challenges faced by the Students community and their plans to address them.

Honorable Odebunmi, who represents Oye Constituency II, warmly welcomed the Students leaders and commended their initiatives in reaching out to him. He emphasized the importance of focus and faithful delivery of services to the students they represent, urging them to remain dedicated and steadfast in their duties.

Recognizing the vital role that the House of Assembly can play in supporting Students Union the two Presidents appealed to Hon. Odebunmi for his cooperation and assistance.

Comrade Ogunsanya Dotun and Comrade Ajayi Dotun Emmanuel assured Hon. Aare Afe Babalola' s success story is a story that must be told, documented and preserved in the anals of history that there lived a man whose journey in life was that of grass to grace. Only a few individuals whose name rings in the public space can have their success stories told for emulation by the younger generation. Among these few Nigerians is a legal icon of national and international repute, a farmer, an educationist who not only passed through the corridor of the lecture or classroom as an ordinary teacher but invested his wealth and resources into building a foremost university, an ivory tower ranked high among other tertiary institutions in Nigeria today. 

Amazing enough  is the speed at which his privately funded university, christened Afe Babalola University compete with premier universities and government owned tertiary institutions across the length and breadth of the country. The legal luminarian and a Senior Advocate of the Nigerian Bar, has given so much to the society, his country home, State of origin, the Yoruba nation and the country at large. His contribution to the legal education is second to none, his impact in the task of nation building was proved by his efforts which resulted in the creation of Ekiti State in 1996.

 Baba is truly a rare breed of being whose rise to stardom was achieved through the dint of  hard work, commitment, dedication and absolute submission to the divine calling by destiny to achieve the unusual as a poor boy who has risen from obscurity to limelight.

Celebrating this achiever, a true Nigerian whose track records of achievement in his profession, the education sector and a big time employer of labour will not be allowed to pass by without  celebration by Omoluabi Team Alliance Socio- cultural Group across the entire southwest. We wish this prominent and illustrious son of Ekiti State more years of grace and prosperity in all his endeavours.

“This is the very first time the State Government will be contracting the procurement of government vehicles to homegrown motor dealers through our association. This has not only boosted the morale of our members but also strengthened our commitment to contributing to the state's progress”, he said.

“Everything that has come out here since he became Governor has been positive, I have been around for five days and people have been coming to my house, APC, PDP and a few Labour people also came and then is like we have a one-party state.

Likewise, The Nigerian Union of Allied Health Professionals (NUAHP) honoured Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji with the Most Labour Friendly Governor Award for giant strides he had so far made in bettering the Workers' standard of living.

The NUAHP said the award was "in recognition of Governor Oyebanji's good industrial relations policy and appointment of members of the union into his cabinet in Ekiti State."

Also, A chieftain of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, Lere Olayinka, in his words said that the State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, needs all the concentration he desired to remain on the path of good governance that he has started.

The former PDP Reps candidate said there was no pretending as to the fact that Governor Oyebanji has brought his personality trait of 'Omoluabi' to bear on governance in the State, adding that "Ekiti has gotten to such a level that after election, whoever is the governor must be supported by all in the interest of the State.

"If you pass through Ita Awure - Aramoko - Igede road, this time last year and now, you will see the clear difference and this can't be hidden even if you don't like the face of the governor. Personally, I remember how many times I had issues with my vehicle's tyres on that road.

"Also, I seen the governor even visiting those who contested the guber election with him, including those who even challenged his election up to the Supreme Court."
