Eid-El-Kabir: Capt. Sunday Ebenezer Adebomi facilitates with Muslims admonish them to faithful to Allah Preaching

Capt. Sunday Ebenezer Adebomi (SEA) has felicitated with Muslims on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim’s devotion to Allah SWT and his readiness to sacrifice his son, Ismail.

Capt. Sunday Ebenezer Adebomi (SEA) made these remarks speaking to his media team (SEAMEDIA) in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State Nigeria. He urged Muslim faithfuls across the country to inculcate the exemplary and muslimatic lifestyle displayed by PROPHET MUHAMMAD AND PROPHET IBRAHIM.

“As we celebrate with friends, family and well wishers for the festivities, we are charged to always remember the core essence and TRUE MEANING of EID-UL-ADHA which is in recognition of the love, sacrifice and readiness of PROPHET IBRAHIM to sacrifice his son, Ismail. At the very point of sacrifice, Allah SWT replaced Ismail with a ram, which was to be slaughtered in place of his son. This command from Allah SWT was a test of Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness and commitment to obey his Lord’s command, without question. Therefore, Eid-ul-Adha means the festival of sacrifice,” Capt. Sunday Ebenezer Adebomi said.

He also preached that love and tolerance should live first amongst us above hate and other antisocial vices.

“In our collective efforts to national building and as patriotic citizens, we must all rise with love and tolerance as a tool above our perceived differences which pit brothers and sisters against themselves.”

The Ekiti State Emergency Management Agency (EKSEMA) chairman tasked Nigerians to use the occasion of Eid to pray for the safety and wellbeing of the Armed Forces and other security personnel ensuring the safety of citizens.

He also used the ample opportunity to seek the continuous prayers and support of Nigerians for The unity, SECURITY and prosperity of Nigeria and Nigerians.

As Muslim faithful mark the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, Ekiti State Governor-Elect, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, has congratulated Ekiti Muslims and urged Nigerians to intensify prayers and support for unity and peace in the country.

 Oyebanji in his goodwill messsge, said Eid-el-Kabir offers Muslims the opportunity to exemplify the virtues of piety, honesty, charity and generosity according to the life of Prophet Ibrahim and teachings of Prophet Muhammad.

He said the current spate of insecurity in parts of the country calls urgent prayers for divine intervention. He called on Muslims to use the opportunity of the festive period to pray for everlasting peace in the country.   

“Prophet Ibrahim, in whose honour Eid-el-Kabir became an annual celebration was known and reverred for his   humility and faithfulness. He prayed and God answered him, the same God is still there to answer our prayer. I urge Nigerians to love one another and pray for peace as we celebrate. 

The Governor- elect who said safety of lives and property in all parts of Ekiti State would be accorded top priority in his government, also called for prayers for the incoming administration.

As part of his ongoing consultations, Ekiti State Governor-elect, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on Thursday visited the Founder, Afe Babalola University(ABUAD) Aare Afe Babalola (SAN).

The Governor-elect  thanked the legal luminary for the great roles he has played in his life and Ekiti development. Specifically, Oyebanji commemded the Aare Babalola  for his selfless sacrifice towards the creation of Ekiti State.

"I am here this morning for few reasons: First to thank Baba for the role he has played in my life, and to thank him for the great role he has played in the development of the State through the establishment of ABUAD and in particular, I appreciate Chief Afe Babalola for his unique role during the creation of Ekiti State".

Oyebanji, who said he was marvelled at the feat recorded by the institution over the years, expressed  the readiness of his administration to partner with the institution in the area of technology.

The legal luminary in his remarks, said he was delighted to receive Oyebanji and his team on his visit to the institution. He said he was confident that the Governor-elect would perform up to expectation.

 

Aare Babalola urged the Governor-elect to take critical steps in industrializing the state, adding that the Ikogosi warm spring should also be  repositioned to boost Ekiti economy.

"Good enough, I learnt that the Governor-Elect is from Ikogosi Ekiti. That has made it incumbent on him to call for the paper I presented on Ikogosi, revisit it and make the place the industrial hub of Ekiti"

Aare Babalola advised the Governor-elect to have consultations with elders, opinion leaders, economists and other well-meaning Ekiti people for useful advice on how to make Ekiti great again.

This Afternoon, the National Youth Leader, Hon. Dayo Isreal and delegates of the Youth Leadership of the party paid the Hon. Minister of Labour and Employment Dr. Chris Ngige a courtesy visit at his Abuja's residence, to discuss the way forward in putting an end to the lingering strike Action of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

This is coming after a resolution made by the APC youth leaders and stakeholders on Friday to find a lasting solution between the Government and the Academic Union. Earlier today, the National Youth Leader, discussed at length with the President of ASUU, Prof. Osodeke Emmanuel and NANS President who both highlight their positions and expectations from the Government. This was important in finding amicable grounds ahead his further consultations with officials of the government.

"I also spoke to the Chairman of the Wage, Income and Salaries Commission through the Ministers Phone. I can inform Nigerians that a counter offer to ASUU has been put together by the Federal Government and will be presented to President Buhari this week."

"Our consultations will continue and we call on all stakeholders to find a middle ground and ensure our youths go back to school this month." said the National Youth Leader after the meeting with the Honorable minister.
