AGBEYEWA FARMS SHOWCASES AGRIC BUSINESS, CASSAVA REVOLUTION TO STAKEHOLDERS.
The visit, which took place on Thursday, aimed to familiarize stakeholders with Agbeyewa's agric business, showcase its achievements, foster understanding of its cassava revolution, and promote Agbeyewa Farms as a model for agricultural and socio-economic development in Ekiti State and Nigeria.
The visiting team was led around the Ipao Farm by the Executive Director of Agbeyewa Farms, Oska Aiyeleso, accompanied by some key members of his team, on a four-hour tour of the farm, covering selected areas of the impressive over 1,000 hectares of cassava cultivation. In addition to its 5,000 hectare cassava farm, Agbeyewa farms in partnership with the Ekiti State government has embarked on a cassava revolution project to cultivate up to 100,000 hectares of land for the cassava crop as a tool of socio-economic development.
At the end of the tour, AFCDF members and journalists were impressed by the sheer scale of progress, particularly the massive cassava farms. They praised Agbeyewa's remarkable achievements, acknowledging Chairman John Olajide's visionary leadership in establishing the farm in Ekiti State.
A board member noted, "Olajide's bold vision is a significant step towards using agro-business to reinvigorate our comatose economy. We are very happy with the scale and massive cassava cultivation going on around here. Whoever is not here will not know the massive work going on in Ekiti by Agbeyewa Farms."
One of the leading journalists on the tour also described Agbeyewa Farm's accomplishments as "massive and unbelievable." This sentiment echoed amongst all guests throughout the visit.
Board members also commended Agbeyewa team, describing it as exceptional and a key factor in the farm's success story. "The visit is a clear testament to the exceptional leadership of this farm. We have come, we have seen, and we shall tell the whole world of the inspiring agricultural revolution going on in Ekiti courtesy of Agbeyewa Farms."
Another board member emphasized, "It is important that the Ekiti State Government visit this farm to see the unparalleled heights that Agbeyewa Farms has taken Agric-business to."
The Agbeyewa Farms' outstanding performance over the past two years has positioned the farm for continued excellence, attributed to the collective efforts of the leadership involvement in the day-to-day administration of the Agbeyewa Farm's project under John Olajide's able and courageous leadership.
Olajide's innovative ideas and Oska Aiyeleso’s execution strategies have no doubt created a model for agricultural development in Ekiti State and Nigeria. Agbeyewa Farms' focus on sustainable agro-allied investments will contribute significantly to economic growth, job creation, and food security in Ekiti and Nigeria.
