Adeboyejo Rallies Ekiti South APC, Donates Millions, Buses to Boost Oyebanji’s 2026 Re-election Bid.

Adeboyejo Rallies Ekiti South APC, Donates Millions, Buses to Boost Oyebanji’s 2026 Re-election Bid.

A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Mr Oluwaseun Adeboyejo, has embarked on a massive mobilisation drive across the Ekiti South Senatorial District, throwing his weight behind the re-election bid of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji ahead of the 2026 governorship election.

Adeboyejo, an indigene of Emure Ekiti, stormed the three local government areas in the zone — Emure, Gbonyin, and Ekiti East — on Tuesday 14th, where he met with key stakeholders and grassroots leaders of the party.

The strategic engagement, which held in Gbonyin and Ekiti East, witnessed the convergence of:
●Ekiti South Senatorial Chairman and members of the senatorial executive

●All six local government APC chairmen, youth leaders, women leaders, secretaries, and PROs

●All ward-level executives, including chairmen, youth leaders, and PROs across the three LGAs

●Senatorial Woman Leader, Chief (Mrs) Adesina, popularly known as Iya Onigbaja

Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Adeboyejo hailed Governor Oyebanji as a transformational leader whose impact is being felt across all sectors in the state.

“Governor Oyebanji is a man of the people. His work in infrastructure, youth empowerment, and good governance speaks volumes. This is not the time to slow down — we must ensure continuity beyond 2026,” Adeboyejo declared.

To bolster grassroots mobilisation, the APC stalwart announced a donation of ₦1 million each to the six local governments under the senatorial zone, earmarked to support campaign activities and logistics.

He also handed over a senatorial bus to the office of the Senatorial Secretary to enhance coordination across the district, promising to deliver another vehicle specifically for Emure LGA in the coming weeks.

Local government party chairmen and stakeholders who attended the meetings commended Adeboyejo for what they described as his "consistent support and commitment to party structures."

“This is not his first time supporting the party. Adeboyejo has always stood with us, and this latest move only shows his readiness to keep APC strong in Ekiti South,” one of the LG chairmen said.

Ward executives, youth and women leaders, and senatorial officers echoed the sentiment, pledging to channel the renewed support towards delivering a landslide victory for Governor Oyebanji.

The ongoing mobilisation effort is being driven under the banner: “BAO Continuity Till 2030”, a slogan that has gained traction among supporters of the governor who are eager to see his developmental strides sustained.

Political analysts say the Adeboyejo-led push could mark a turning point for APC in the region, noting that early grassroots coordination could give the party a significant edge ahead of the 2026 polls.

As the race begins to take shape, insiders believe Adeboyejo’s intervention has breathed new life into the party’s campaign machinery in Ekiti South.

A frontline member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and respected indigene of Emure Ekiti, Mr Oluwaseun Adeboyejo, has commenced a robust mobilisation tour across the Ekiti South Senatorial District in support of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s (BAO) second-term bid, describing the governor’s continuity in office as crucial to sustained development in the state.

The mobilisation tour, which covers the three local government areas in the district — Emure, Gbonyin and Ekiti East — brought together party stakeholders from all six local councils within the senatorial district.

The strategic meeting held last week in Gbonyin and Ekiti East witnessed the presence of key APC leaders, including the Ekiti South Senatorial Chairman and his executives, all six local government chairmen, youth leaders, secretaries, women leaders, and public relations officers. Also in attendance were all ward chairmen, secretaries, youth leaders, and other grassroots executives across the six local government areas.

The APC Senatorial Woman Leader, Chief Mrs Adesina, popularly known as Iya Onigbaja, was also present in her official capacity.

Speaking at the meeting, Adeboyejo reaffirmed his commitment to the party and praised Governor Oyebanji for what he described as a people-focused and inclusive administration. He urged all APC members to begin early mobilisation to ensure a landslide victory in the forthcoming 2026 governorship election.

“Governor Oyebanji represents stability, competence and inclusive development. The progress we are witnessing in Ekiti today must not be interrupted. I am here as a committed party man and son of this senatorial district to support this cause and call on all of you to work together for the future of our dear state,” he said.

In a show of deep commitment to the APC and the re-election of Governor Oyebanji, Mr Adeboyejo donated ₦1 million each to all six local governments in the senatorial district to support grassroots mobilisation and campaign efforts.

He also presented a fully equipped bus to the Ekiti South Senatorial Secretary to enhance movement, coordination and strategic planning across the senatorial zone. He further promised to donate a new bus for Emure Local Government in the coming weeks.

These donations were received with gratitude by party leaders, who described the gesture as both timely and impactful.

The party chairmen from Emure, Gbonyin and Ekiti East local governments jointly praised Mr Adeboyejo for his consistent support and leadership in the constituency. They acknowledged that his contributions to the party’s growth, both in the past and present, have significantly strengthened the APC’s structure at the grassroots.

“Mr Adeboyejo has always stood by the party and the people. His support is not just during election seasons but at all times, and this is why we hold him in high esteem,” one of the chairmen said.

Also speaking, the Senatorial Chairman and other zonal executives commended Adeboyejo’s initiative, describing it as a model for other party loyalists.

Mr Adeboyejo reaffirmed the message of BAO Continuity Till 2030, stating that good governance must be sustained through collective effort and grassroots strength. He called for unity across all levels of the party and urged members to stay focused ahead of the 2026 elections.

With the momentum gathering across the Ekiti South Senatorial District, Adeboyejo’s mobilisation tour is being seen as a strategic step in consolidating support for Governor Oyebanji and reinforcing the APC’s hold on the region.

Education: Oyebanji receives Ekiti-Born Guinness World Record Holder.
…. Restates commitment to education development.

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji has restated thr commitment of his administration to the development of education system that meets the challenges and demands of the 21st century, describing it as the most valuable investment any government can bequeath  on its citizens.

The Governor stated this on Monday while receiving the Ekiti State born Teacher, Mr Anifowose Oluwaseyi, who recently set a Guinness World Record for organizing the largest gathering of teachers in the world, in his office in Ado- Ekiti.

Governor Oyebanji said his administration is deliberately investing in reforms that will make education in the state globally competitive and responsive to modern realities.

The Governor  also noted that the world is changing rapidly and that the state must continuously upgrade its teaching methods, curriculum, and learning environment to produce citizens who can thrive in a knowledge-driven economy.

He emphasized that his government is deliberate about creating an education ecosystem that focuses on both quality teaching and conducive learning environment.

According to Governor Oyebanii, “ if you look at the six pillars of our administration, you will see human capital development, we try as much as possible to strike a balance between infrastructure and human development and we have been deliberate in ensuring that we create an ecosystem that strikes a balance between what you teach, how you teach it and where you teach it because we believe strongly that the future of education rests on those pillars.

“What you teach refers to curriculum and its relevance, how you teach speaks to technics and methodology and where you teach is the environment itself and through SUBEB and Ministry of Education, we have tried to upgrade our infrastructure, recalibrate our curriculum to make it relevant to the needs of the 21st century and we also try as much as possible to ensure that the welfare of the teachers is taken into consideration”

The Governor asserted.

Why Governor Oyebanji is Poised Not to Dissapoint Ekiti in His Second Term.

Why Governor Oyebanji is Poised Not to Dissapoint Ekiti in His Second Term.

~ _"We need Governors like Oyebanji in Nigeria. Governors that will work with everybody regardless of their political differences, Governors who do not chase shadows and who have the capacity to remain grounded even at the height of their glories"_ H.E. Kashim Shettima GCON, Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

On several occasions, I have received countless calls and messages from within and outside Ekiti, asking why Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji deserves a second term in office. Some expressed concerns that second-term governors often lose focus, prioritising personal ambitions and wealth accumulation over the genuine development of their States.

Each time, my answer has been short but convincing: Governor Oyebanji is different. There are unique and defining qualities that set him apart, qualities that continue to endear him to the people of Ekiti and assure us that he will not disappoint.

1. CONSISTENCY:
Governor Oyebanji is a product of Ekiti political system, a system that nurtured and mentored him from inception. Over the past three years, he has remained steadfast to those foundational principles, never departing from the ideals that shaped him.

2. HUMILITY, NOT DESPERATION
From the onset, Governor Oyebanji has made it clear that power belongs to God, who gives it to whom He wills through the people. This belief informs his inclusive leadership style, built around the principle of "all for one and one for all." He governs without desperation, embracing even his critics with grace.

3. FOCUS AND DELIVERY

Though the early months of his administration were spent laying a solid foundation, a careful analysis of his six-point development agenda today shows steady progress and impactful execution from Infrastructure to Agriculture, Education, and human capital development, his focus has been unwavering, and in many areas, his performance has surpassed expectations.

4. SINCERITY
Many politicians in this part of the world are known for saying one thing before elections and another afterwards. I was fortunate to have a one-on-one brief conversation with Governor Oyebanji shortly after his inauguration, and I can affirm that he remained consistent and focused with the same sincerity and humility he expressed then. His words are indeed his bond.

5. FRUGALITY
It is an open secret that Governor Oyebanji lives a modest life. He doesn't flaunt wealth or intimidate the people with extravagance. Instead, he channels the state's limited resources towards projects that have a direct impact on the lives of the people. He has proven that leadership is not about luxury cars or imported  wines but about prudent management and tangible impact.

6. STRONG FAMILY VALUE
Leaderhsip begins at home, and Governor Oyebanji’s ability to maintain and manage a stable and exemplary home front while in power deserves commendation, His wife, Dr. (Mrs.) Olayemi Oyebanji, the first lady of Ekiti State, has been a pillar of support, managing the home and inspiring countless families across the state with grace, compassion and intelligence.

7. RESPECT FOR HUMAN DIGNITY

Ekiti people value respect and integrity, virtues that Governor Oyebanji embodies in full measures. His Omoluabi ethos, humility, and respect for others have restored and strengthened Ekiti’s collective pride. These qualities inherited from our revered heritage and reinforced under his leadership continue to define his relationship with the people.

Above and many other convincing attributes evidently made it clear that Governor Oyebanji is not genuflecting. He is sincere and genuinely committed to the development of Ekiti.

However, I must add that Ekiti people are not fools. They can trust, they have the resilience and patience to endure disappointment or breach of trust from any leader.  Likewise, the people know *_ how to turn a landlord into a tenant in a property he built with his sweat"_*. If for any reason out of the above, there is any attempt to shift ground, the people know how best to handle such situation but for Governor Abiodun Abayomi Oyebanji, he has shown himself to be trustworthy, have the capacity, determination, the focus and the genuity to take Ekiti to the next level come his second term in office.

_"For you in Ekiti, you have never had it so good,”_

_“As Martin Luther King rightly said, "we either learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools."
I am quite delighted that the crème de la crème of Ekiti have aligned themselves with the governor for the greater good of Ekiti state.”

Finally, quoting His Excellency, Shettima _"honestly I am very proud of Governor Oyebanji. He exhumes humility, he exhumes acceptability and accessibility. He has been able to carry all the tendencies in Ekiti State."_

With the above, l remain yet,

Oyebanji is my Greatest Achievement, says Fayemi.

Oyebanji is my Greatest Achievement, says Fayemi.
…Commends Ekiti Gov’s Sterling Performance in three years.
…Commissions Itapa-Ijelu-Omu Road.

Immediate past Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi has commended the incumbent Governor of the State, Mr Biodun Oyebanji for his development strides, transformative leadership and for building on the legacy of continuity in governance, describing the Governor as his greatest achievement.

The former Governor gave the commendation on Saturday at Ijelu-Ekiti during the  commissioning of the newly constructed Itapa-Ijelu-Omu road, as part of activities marking the third anniversary of the Oyebanji administration.

Addressing journalists at the event, Dr Fayemi said he would describe Oyebanji as his greatest achievement. “Absolutely, he is my greatest achievement because I have my own imperfection but those imperfection he has managed to either correct or reduce them and God has been kind to us in Ekiti by giving us a Governor who can focus on the transformation agenda for the people of Ekiti, and who is not giving to unnecessary politicking at the expense of the important issue of development”, he added.

Dr Fayemi said the success of Oyebanji’s administration is a validation of his belief in purposeful leadership, adding that the Governor’s record of performance in three years has justified the decision of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and Ekiti people to present Oyebanji  as the consensus candidate for the 2026 governorship election.

Fayemi, who rode into the venue of the event in same vehicle with Oyebanji, applauded the Governor for prioritizing infrastructure development, particularly road construction and rehabilitation, which, according to him, has improved connectivity, boosted commerce and eased transportation across the State.

The former Governor explained that the new roads being constructed and commissioned by Governor Oyebanji in different parts of the state are strategic to Ekiti’s economic growth, as they link key agriculture, business communities and tourism corridor to major urban centres.

He said “ I want to thank our Governor for not disappointing us and for holding firm to his God and the truth in delivering the task of governing Ekiti and leaving it better than the way we left it. We have every reason to be proud of him. We have no reason to abandon him.

"Just like the Governor mentioned in his remarks, I was counting roads that we started and could not complete and I cannot recollect any that has not been completed now- Itapa-Ijelu-Omu, done; Omisanjana-Atlas, completed; Agric Olope-Moferere completed; Ijurin-Ayegunle, completed; GRA Third Extension, completed; Ikole-Ara-Isinbode, completed; Ikere-Ilawe, completed and of course Ekiti Ring Road has been completed”, Dr Fayemi added.

Earlier in his remarks, Governor Oyebanji, who expressed profound appreciation to his predecessor for laying a solid foundation on which his administration is building, said his achievements so far were collective efforts of successive administrations that shared a common vision for a prosperous Ekiti.

Describing the event as a testament to what a State stands to gain when there is continuity in government, the Governor said  development becomes faster when leaders build on the work of their predecessors instead of abandoning them.

While thanking former Governor  Fayemi for breaking the jinx of continuity in Ekiti State, Governor Oyebanji said all road projects started by the Fayemi led-administration that could not be completed have now been finished by his government.

“I bless God for today and I am so glad that we are able to finally complete this road but today is not actually about our government, it speaks to what Ekiti has lost since it was created 29 years ago.

“What is happening today speaks to what a people and a state will benefit if there is continuity in government. When Baba Ipinmoye was speaking, I cast my mind back and realised that if we have been doing this since the time of Otunba Niyi Adebayo, we will not be where we are today but I thank Governor Fayemi for breaking the jinx of continuity and I’m so happy that nearly all the projects he initiated but could not complete are now been completed”.

Earlier, the Commissioner for Works, Sola Adebayo commended the Governor for transforming the State into an unparalleled economic hub with his transformative acumen especially in the area of road infrastructure.

The Commissioner further expressed appreciation to the Governor for his visionary leadership, passion for service and unwavering commitment to the welfare of Ekiti, adding that the project like many others across the state, reflects his determination to build a state where development is evenly spread and progress felt by all in the drive to fulfil his shared property mantra.

While also explaining that the road  project will facilitate agricultural activities by helping farmers transport goods to markets with ease,  support local commerce and small-scale businesses,  reduce travel time and transportation costs as well as strengthen inter-community relationships, the commissioner called on the benefitting communities to take ownership of the project  by avoiding practices that can damage the road such as blocking the drains with refuse, constructing unauthorized speed bumps, erecting and erecting illegal structures.

In their separate goodwill messages, the Owajumu of Omu Kingdom, Oba Adeoye Joseph, Retired Anglican Bishop, Rev'd Micheal Ipinmoye, and NURTW Chairman, Chief Falope Joseph, thanked the Governor for his  administration's commitment to rural and infrastructure development, stressing that the newly constructed road would not only ease the transportation for residents and farmers but will also boost local commerce, enhance access to healthcare and education as well as foster stronger socio-economic ties within the region.

Also at the event were the Speaker, Ekiti state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, members of the State House of Assembly, members of the State Executive community leaders and other top Government Officials, among others.
