Haruna, introduced in the 70th minute to stabilize the match, swiftly demonstrated his strength and agility in Ekiti United's midfield, ultimately securing the win at 2-1. His remarkable efforts included thwarting attempts by Calabar Rovers to draw the game level at 2-2, ensuring Ekiti United's triumphant lead.

The thrilling match, held on Sunday, 7th January 2024, at 3 pm at Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado-Ekiti, featured Makanjuola Adewale as the outstanding player of the match.

The scoreboard reflected goals from Kehinde Olajuyin at 6 minutes and Adebari Kamaru at 76 minutes, contributing to Ekiti United's glorious victory.
