World Teachers' Day: Teachers Are The Bedrock Upon Which Our Communities Are Built~Jimi Odimayo.
The Member of the House of Representatives representing the people of Okitipupa/Irele federal constituency, Hon. Okunjimi Odimayo has expressed his heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for the dedicated and tireless efforts of Nigerian teachers especially teachers in Okitipupa/Irele federal constituency who play an indispensable role in shaping our society and the future of our children.
Emphasizing this year's theme, "The Teachers We Need For The Education We Want: The Global Imperative To Reverse The Teacher Shortage",
Odimayo praises teachers for their adaptability, innovation, and dedication to education while urging the government to hire more teachers to enhance educational quality.
The legislator emphasizes that teachers aren't just knowledge providers; they serve as mentors, role models, and the foundation of our communities adding that their influence extends beyond academics, shaping values and nurturing creativity.
As a lawmaker, Hon. Odimayo urges the government to invest in professional development, technology access, and fair compensation for educators stressing that education is fundamental to progress and must be strengthened.
He promises to continue supporting teachers' crucial work, contributing to a brighter future for children and the nation.
Additionally, the Chairman House Committee on National Population Commission calls on the Federal Government to improve teachers' welfare.
Lastly, Odimayo calls on communities, educational institutions, and policymakers to celebrate and support teachers not only on this special day but throughout the year and into the future, recognizing their invaluable contributions.
