Ajoni LCDA Chairman, Prince Ogungbemi, Revives Boreholes, Brings Clean Water to Itagbangba and Ipao Communities.

In a bid to alleviate the long-standing water scarcity in Itagbangba Community within Ajoni Local Council Development Area (LCDA), the Executive Chairman, Prince Michael Ogungbemi, has successfully rehabilitated the abandoned hand pump borehole, restoring access to clean and potable water for residents.

The initiative, which underscores the chairman’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure in the region, has been widely applauded by the community, whose search for a reliable water source had persisted for years.

Speaking at the commissioning of the rehabilitated borehole, Prince Ogungbemi reiterated his administration's unwavering dedication to promoting development in Ajoni LCDA through targeted infrastructural projects aimed at improving the quality of life. According to him, "This rehabilitation is just one step in our broader strategic plan to ensure sustainable community development. Providing clean water is key to safeguarding the health and well-being of our people."

The rehabilitation of the Itagbangba borehole is not the chairman’s first foray into resolving water supply issues within the LCDA. The people of Ipao-Ekiti have also benefited from similar intervention efforts. The LCDA management team, under Ogungbemi’s directive, restored the community’s central motorized borehole, much to the relief of residents who had struggled with water shortages.

The chairman’s actions have further strengthened his administration's reputation for prioritizing basic amenities. As the adage goes, "He who gives water gives life," and Prince Ogungbemi has proven that with his efforts to provide this essential resource across the LCDA.

Residents of both communities expressed their gratitude for the chairman's work, commending his focus on infrastructural growth and sustainable development in Ekiti State.

This rehabilitation project stands as a testament to the ongoing progress in the Ajoni LCDA under Ogungbemi’s leadership, as efforts to tackle water scarcity issues continue to expand across the region.
