ÌGBÀYÍ ÁYẸWÁ!
...Now, Let's Succeed Together.

Over the years, Mr. Akintunde Rotimihas been devoting his time and wealth, rendering  humanitarian services towards the upliftment of our constituency. This is  premised on his valid conviction that for a society to grow, such society must invest heavily in its citizenry, because citizens are the predominant determining factors in defining the stability of the society & in repositioning the polity.

Mr. Akintunde Rotimi, interest in vying for this  post is informed by the ravaging poor standard of living in our constituency and the deprivation of the basic social amenities as a result of bad representation and absence of transparent leadership in our constituency over the years.

Therefore, in putting a stoppage to all these menace in our constituency, our support and vote for a responsible and dependable candidate like (Mr. Akintunde Rotimi,), as Member of Federal House of Representatives, representing our Constituency (Ikole/Oye Federal Constituency) becomes imperative.

His missions for our constituency includes but not limited to the following;

👉1.Education

👉2. Healthcare

👉3. Economic Empowerment

👉5. Infrastructure etc..

Nelson Mandela once said, "It always seems impossible until it's done". Thereby, I strongly believe that our goals are achievable by voting in Mr. Akintunde Rotimi, a man that oozes competency in leadership, patriotism and integrity, as a Member of Federal House of Representatives, representing our Constituency (Ikole/Oye Federal Constituency).

STORY OF JACOB ODULATE, THE MAN WHO INVENTED ALABUKUN POWDER OVER 100 YEARS AGO.

STORY OF JACOB ODULATE, THE MAN WHO INVENTED ALABUKUN POWDER OVER 100 YEARS AGO.
Alabukun, one of the oldest drugs in Nigeria and even  is still very relevant and popular today. However, not many know the Jacob Odulate aka Blessed Jacob, a Nigerian pharmacist, inventor and entrepreneur and  the brain behind the brand that has remained relevant selling in all parts of Nigeria, Benin republic, Cameroon, Ghana and some parts of Europe. Jacob Sogboyega Odulate aka Blessed Jacob was born into a polygamous family in 1884.

He was originally from Ikorodu in Lagos State but later moved to the neighbouring Ogun State. At age 14, he trekked for three months from Ikorodu before reaching Abeokuta to establish himself.

Blessed Jacob managed to create a brand from what served as his consulting room and workshop in Abeokuta. His modest headquarters was at the Sapon Area, not far from where he later built his famous three-storey building in Ijemo Agbadu. In 1918, he invented the legendary Alabukun powder which is now a hit in the world’s most populous nation and in other West African nations.

He sent his children to study at some of the best universities in Durham, Newcastle, United States of America and London. e.g Mrs. Folake Odulate (later to become Chief. Mrs. Folake Solanke) who is the first female lawyer in Nigeria to wear the silk and she also became the first female Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN). In 1966, she established the first law firm by a Nigerian female at Ibadan, Oyo State and named it Alabukun Chambers in honour of her great father.

Apart from making the drugs, the energetic Blessed Jacob also produced other brands like Alabukun mentholine, other preparations and an annual journal called Alabukun Almanac which was widely distributed in Abeokuta and eventually all over Nigeria between the 1920s and 1950s.

He died in 1962 at age 78.
What a hard working and dedicated man.
His Alabukun drug is still on sale till date.

Oye Constituency II: Comrade I.D Aluta For Effective Representation, Quality Service Delivery.

Oye Constituency II: Comrade I.D Aluta For Effective Representation, Quality Service Delivery.
According to the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, citizens exercise their sovereignty through their elected representatives at the national and state levels.

The bible says when the righteous rules, the people rejoice, hence politics is meaningful to the electorate when a man with fear of God is entrusted with respresentive responsibility; a man who is zealous, enthusiast and will make service to humanity his priority. A man whose watchword would be credibility, excellent performance, accountability, transparency among others.

Of a truth, desire of every electorate in politics is a leader who thinks about the future. A leader who is concerned about preparing the youths to be better engaged for self reliance. A lot of youthful and useful generation needs just a small push with an enabling environment to scale through and weather the storm.

People need to change the way they think. It’s not enough just to talk about tackling problems in our society, people with the right ideas; people who have ideas of using good governance to turning the society around should be the ones representative responsibility is saddled with.

There is no doubt that the people of Oye Constituency II, Ekiti State, yearn for a better and quality representation at the State House of Assembly. Like the creator of the universe, God’s question, the people of Oye Constituency II, for long ago, have been asking – who should we send, who would go for us, who will bear our burden at the state House of Assembly that we too will feel the impact of government and good governance in our area. Worry not, Oye Constituency II, a man has risen to your calls . Comrade Odebunmi Idowu also known as ID ALUTA is ready to be your hears and eyes, as well to let your voices heard at the Ekiti State House of Assembly. Comrade Odebunmi would be a good respresentive on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC, at the House of Assembly.

He is capable, dependable, accessible, committed to good and effective representation. He won’t be a rubber stamp lawmaker if elected. He grew up in the local communities and so knows where the shoe pinches the people. He is one of you.

His pedigrees at the Students Union Government during his school days speak for him. Surely, with ID ALUTA Oye Constituency II will be politically emancipated.

THE HISTORY AND MYSTERY OF BILIKISU SUNGBO SHRINE IN IJEBU ODE, OGUN STATE, SOUTH WEST NIGERIA 🇳🇬

THE HISTORY AND MYSTERY OF BILIKISU SUNGBO SHRINE IN IJEBU ODE, OGUN STATE, SOUTH WEST NIGERIA 🇳🇬
The burial place of the legendary and biblical Queen of Sheba, locally known among Yoruba people as Bilikisu Sungbo, has turned a place of worship and tourism in Nigeria. Millions of people visit annually from different parts of the world to share the mystery surrounding Bilikisu Sungbo grave-turned-shrine located in Oke-Eri, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, Nigeria.

The historical queen, Bilikisu Sungbo, was said to have traveled all the way from Ethiopia down to Ijebu-Ode where she died and was buried. The natives of Ijebu-Ode hold strong and popular claims about the identity of the controversial Bilikisu Sungbo. They claimed that she was the Queen of Sheba mentioned in the bible to have visited the wise king Solomon at height of his powers. They also claimed that Bilikisu Sungbo was the Quranic Queen Baliqs of Ethopia (from which the name Bilikisu was derived) who visited king Sulaiman. Another source has it that Bilikisu Sungbo was a wealthy woman and the leader of a group of women potters who traveled to far away places. Also, she was believed to possess supernatural powers with which she dug ditches around villages in Ijebu-Ode.

The tradition of the Ijebu people forbid women and dogs to visit the spot where Bilikisu Sungbo was buried. At the shrine, there is a small open ground with no grass growing on it. This place is said to be the place where the ancient queen was washed before being buried, and because of her supernatural powers, no plant or grass can ever grow on the spot.

In 1995, Bilikisu Sungbo’s shrine was added to the cultural category of UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Bilikisu Sungbo ‘grave-shrine’ will forever remain a pride of Ijebu-Ode people.
